Where can I get some ice cream or a shake on the quick service dining plan?

I know of a lot of great ice cream shops at wdw, but they don't accept dining plans...

Will you have any snack credits? Lots of ice cream in snacks. Where exactly were you thinking of that is an ice cream shop that doesn't take DDP? Just getting an idea of types you are looking for.

?

Most ice cream places throughout WDW all accept snack credits. I actually can't think of any that don't - except maybe Sprinkles? I gorge on ice cream when on the dining plan.

Of course u can't get it at any TS places, but u can use a snack credit at places like Beaches n Cream takeout window, the ice cream parlor in MK, etc etc.

According to wdw website, beaches and cream, ample hills creamery, Hagen dais, and ghirardelli all do not accept dining plans. I was starting to get frustrated lol. I had forgotten about the place at mk... Thanks!

image.jpeg This was by @jerseytinkerbell from her TR of her Jan 2017 trip clearly showing snack credit eligible items at Ample Hills.

Plus I saw a report on another forum (thedibb) of someone who used snack credits in Ghiradelli's at the beginning of March this year (I got an awesome double scoop of ice cream there last year).

Seriously though, snack credit ice cream is everywhere - don't forget the ice cream spot in France and the gelato spot in Italy or the ice cream cookie sandwiches in MK and AK and so on. For many places (especially at the kiosks in the parks, an ice cream sundae is just a snack credit). Plus a classic Mickey bar is a must :)

Check the menus on allears.net. They have the little purple snack logo next to eligible items. The Disney website is misleading because when it says "no dining plans" it means only that you can't get a meal there. However, many snack only places take dining plan snack credits. Disney should really change the wording because it's confusing.
Like others have said you can get ice cream at many places throughout Disney. Beaches & Cream does a great milkshake at their to go counter, single scoop servings at Ample Hills, single scoop or a macaron sandwich at L'Artisans des Glaces, and the giant cookie sandwiches made with fresh cookies in every park are some of our favorites!

Here's the menu for the French ice cream shop just to give you an idea.
