Where can I get patches?

My daughter's Girl Scout troop wants me to get a couple of patches from WDW to send to their sister troop in England. I have seen pins everywhere but never paid attention to patches. Do you know where I can get them?

I have never heard of GS patches being offered. You could check with the YES program and see if they are offered. However, that is a paid student program and any patch would probably be included with completing a YES course.

Many places offer "Fun Patches" that are made independently of Girl Scouts. Perhaps do an online search.

The only place I've ever seen Disney patches is at JoAnn's Fabrics. I've never seen them in the parks or stores.

If you're talking general souvenir patches, Disney doesn't - to my knowledge - sell those. You used to be able to buy them at the Chapeau on Main Street to put on your mickey hats, but they stopped selling them years ago. Being a patch collector myself, I searched all over a coupke years back and didn't come up with anything. Didn't see anything this trip, either. Though there's a nice collection of LEO and Firefighter patches on display in the firehouse.

I ended up salvaging a Mickey patch from a worn out hoodie, instead. :)

I don't believe any type of patches are sold at Disney

The pins took the place of the patches in the shops. I was going to put my pins on my denim jacket, but it was way too heavy. I had previously purchased patches, and put a few of them on instead. Wish they still had the patches. They were less expensive and weighed so much less. I agree with previous poster- JoAnn's might be you best bet.

thanks. Yes I am looking for patches being sold at Disney, not GS patches. I will do the pins instead. Not sure I will get very many for $20.

If you aren't looking for anything specific, it might be best to buy a "lot" of pins on ebay, you'll get far more for your money.

I asked about patches on my last trip and I was told they dont sell them anymore

are you driving? you might check the local GS office there in orlando at their shop - i know our council has some "visitor patches" that are just for what you are doing - sending to a sister troop - you might have some luck that way

otherwise - i agree with a pp that ordering a "lot" of pins from ebay will be the best way to maximize yoru money

I have several Disney patches I've picked up at WDW. One is a set of five smaller patches, representing Disney's Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM, and WDW - established 1971. Then, I also have some larger patches:
  • "WDW, American Tradition, EST. 1971"
  • Mickey ears that say Epcot and show a patchwork of flags from countries in Epcot
  • One that says "Mission Space, We choose to go!" and shows a rocket blasting into outer space"
  • Mickey ears that say "Test Track" in red, against the black an yellow start flag background
  • The Mickey Mouse Club emblem
  • And finally, one that says Disney Vacation Club member
The ride patches came from gift shops in the vicinity of the various rides. The others I'm not sure about. I just always keep my eyes open for patches 'cause I'm a collector and have managed to accumulate 11 from WDW. For what it's worth, the first two I mentioned (the set and the one that follows) are on cards that say "Got You Covered, Collectable [sic] / Tradable Iron-on Patch Set."

What year did you see these?
