I haven't been to WDW since 1999, and I can't remember where I got them. I buy them for all my nieces and nephews and 5 have been born since my last trip!

At "Le Chapeau" in the Magic Kingdom. Candy store is on the corner at the beginning of Main Street. Le Chapeau is to the right as you walk toward Tony's Town Square Cafe. Ears are $6.00. Stitching name on is free.

I knew I could get the answer here! Thanks! I'll be buying them next Tuesday!!!!!

Thanks Disney Fool - our first stop next Tuesday. The ONLY thing (at least at this point) my grandson has asked for - Mickey Ears.

You can also go to the shop between Snow White and Winne the Pooh. They embroider the ears there as well. It just seems as that has a little less of a line since most people don't know that it is done there.

How long does it take to personalize? Do you have to come back for it - or do they do it right there? We can never find my grandson's name on anything (Wesley) - so this is awsome.

A couple of years ago my wife and I went down while she was pregnant with our son. We wanted to get him some mouse ears with his nickname (Tator Tot) on it. They told us we couldn't do a nickname. I thought this was strange. Anyone else heard of this?

We wound up not getting his ears since we hadn't decided on his name yet.

Taking him down in November/December so he can get them in person.

Disney will not do nicknames. Proper names only. And yes, it's while you wait--takes less than two minutes. They stitch the name on and you pay for it.

You may want to double check but I think I remember that the Christmas shop in Downtown Disney has a whole section in the back of the store for personalizing, with many hats to choose from.

Be sure you get your mouse ears in the Magic Kingdom if you want free personalizing (and who wouldn't??). I bought ears for a co-worker at the Christmas shop in Downtown Disney and I had to pay to get the baby's name on them. I think the ears like $6 and to personalize them it was $7. Just wanted to forewarn you!:earsboy:

My real name--Marguerite--is long and I asked them to do "Margie" and they did.

Thanks again for the great answers! :earsboy:

Some might think it's strange to give little Tater Tot a nickname before you give him a real name.

I've heard they get some very strange requests for inscriptions on hats. I beleive they made this policy so they did not have the individual CMs making the judgement call on which names are appropriate.

We wanted our kids short names on the hats (i.e. Sam instead of Samuel) and the CM asked the leading question "that's his proper name RIGHT?" If the name is reasonable they probably won't ask for I.D.

I'm not sure what they would have done if you insisted that his legal name was in fact Tater Tot.

We had our DD's done as a keepsake last trip. Remember you can have them shipped to your resort on property for free. It does take until the next day, so do early in trip. They just show up!

If off property, request to have them at package pick up on way out. That way they won't get wet, squished, flattened, etc.!
