I know of just a few spots, Cosmic Rays and I think Pecos Bills.

I used to be able to get a really good one at Tubbi's (now Picabu's), but I no longer see that on the all ears net menu page. I'm wondering if a lot of places have it as an option, but they don't list it on the menu.

Thanks for any input on this. It looks like we get to go at the end of January. This was unexpected so I'm very excited! :yay:

Plaza Restaurant (by request)
Rosie's All-American Cafe
Beaches & Cream
The All Star Food Courts
Everything Pop has a Soy Burger

Especially with table service restaurants, if you let them know in advance they'll probably be able to have a veggie burger for you.

Thank you for the info! I don't think I'll be able to make any advance plans,...we'll be flying by the seat of our pants on this trip. That's why I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row :donald: :donald: :donald: ahead of time.

At Rose and Crown in Epcot located in UK, they have a delicious plate called the vegetable selection. All types of veggies wrappedin phyllo dough with a saffron sauce only 12.95, and very filling.

That sounds really delicious. I've decided not to get my hopes up on any TS this trip because it is so sudden and due to the DDP causing so much interest. I am going to make a big effort to get at least one character meal, hopefully the Princess lunch in Norway for my princess crazy dd...she turns four on this trip.

I've never done ADR's before, with the exception of two character meals. I think I suffer from ADRahphobia. :teeth:

But I gotta tell you, that description of the Rose and Crown vegetarian plate might be worth an ADR.

The Grand Floridian Cafe has a wonderful made from scratch veggie burger. You can probably get a ressie there, all the food is wonderful there.

Oh, heck - LOTS of places have vegetarian choices! I just looked for burgers!

The link in this http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1200165 sticky thread contains this http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm link to the DIS (aka wdwinfo.com) menu page.

There are several drop-down options in the Disney Dining Search Tool

I used the Search Items based on the following criteria option using the following criteria:
Select the meal: All (or lunch, or dinner)
Select meal portion: Entree/main course
Select the main ingredient: Vegetable
Buffet item: No (this is the default)

Then click the Submit Query button, and voila! Dozens of choices (although calling the seasoned fries at Goods to Go a vegetable entree IS stretching things, just a little...)

Thanks, what a great seach tool!!!!!!

My favorite place to go to get veggie burgers is at Beaches & Cream at the Beach Club. :thumbsup2
I want to try the homemade veggie burgers at Grand Floridian Cafe, they sound so yummy!

I had the "best ever" vegetarian meal at the Yachtsman steakhouse in the Yacht Club. It was a portabello/polenta dish. Although the restaurant is on the dining plan, it's a signature restaurant (2 credits) so we had no problem walking in.

Rainforest Cafe also has veggie burgers.

Rainforest Natural Burger - Meatless patty of brown rice and vegetables, served with tomatoes, red onions, fresh spinach, and greens tossed with balsamic dressing on a toasted bun and spicy Safari sauce

Thanks for all the great suggestions. We firmed up our ressies, and will be staying at CBR. I was reading the menu for shutters,....looks like I can get a salad, veggie side and baked potato side if we end up eating at the resort (kind of unlikely).

don't be afraid of ADRs - Cindy's castle, LeCellier, and Restaurant Akershus are the hardest to get these days. But there are SO many fabulous vegetarian dishes onsite, don't miss them :)

Sci Fi,cosmic rays and they have really yummy home made veggie burgers at Grand Floridian

I'm a vegetarian myself, and I find that most places are pretty accomodating, even if they don't have veggie burgers. Pecos Bill's (in the Magic Kingdom) is one place that has regular hamburgers but not veggie burgers, but their Kit Carson salad without chicken (jicama slaw, cheese, honey-lime vinagrette) is delicious and filling. If you have a car, venture over to the Crossroads shopping center and check out Jungle Jim's www.jungle-jims.com/. They have many variations on the Gardenburger.

Does anyone know what brand of vegetarian burgers are served at the counter service restaurants? Specifically, I'd like to know if they contain nuts due to allergy reasons. I'll ask when I get there, but I'm curious now.

If you check the disABILITIES forum, specifically the FAQ 'sticky' thread there, you should be able to find contact information for the person AT Disney who can provide you with the information - if not the name brand, then definiitely whether the product contains nuts or legumes. That same person - or any Disney restaurant, with a day or more advance notice - should be able to arrange for food the specific Guest CAN safely eat.
