Where can I get an EZ Pass?

Last time I got one, we bought it at the Duty Free. We live in the GTA and it’s too far to go to the border just for that.

Looking to buy another one since our family had expanded and we will be driving down in 2 cars now.

I went on their website and it says to type in your Licence plate and credit card. Will they ship us the transponder? Sorry if I’m being too paranoid. I just don’t want to set up an online account and pay unless I’m sure I will actually get one.

Thank you

I'm in Maine. We ordered both of our transponders online and they arrived with no problems. I also have a credit card linked to the account, so when the balance gets down below a certain amount, more money is automatically. I don't have to calculate how much I'll need to have in there for any particular trip, or worry about going thru a toll when I don't have a balance to pay for it!

We did this too. You just have to remember to change car info if you ever get a new car.
There is a $1 per month fee on the account, whether you use it or not.

If the Ezpass charges $1.00 per month you might want to look into the Florida Sunpass Pro, it is good in other states and there is no monthly fee. (I know NY state it works)

I am pretty sure mine was mailed to Canada when I got it.

I'm in Ontario - we ordered an EZ pass from the NY state website and it was mailed out to us. No issues receiving it and using it.

If OP is driving from Canada to WDW, she will need more than just Sun Pass. I live in NJ and have EZ Pass and AFAIK our system doesn’t accept Sun Pass. Maybe OP can use both.
When our transponder arrived, it was in a special bag to prevent tolls from being charged to it while in transit. They also provided us with an additional bag. We’ve never taken long road trips but after a few years, we were told our original transponders were nearing their expected lifespan and we needed to trade in for a new one so we used the special bags to return them.

For $1/month per account (not $1 per transponder) OP could keep it for a month or 2 for the added convenience on such a long drive, then cancel the account once they return home.

I will 2nd getting the sun pass pro....have now had it for about 3 years,,,no monthly just need to link a cc to it. set your own renewal amount so no issues while driving,,super easy,,even get discounts at any of the boarder crossings. Good to go all the way down I75,I79 and all the other states. They do ship to Canada,,,I am just north of TO and no issue

i ordered a sunpass pro, they mailed it to me in canada, used it over the past weekend and worked with no issue including paying at the peace bridge border crossing back into canada.

We have EZ-Pass and we live in Ontario. Can't tell you if they would ship here - I just went across the river and got one. They do NOT charge a $1 per month fee - at least I've never been charged.

I can confirm the SunPass pro is a great idea and would highly recommend it.... I am in the GTA and ordered one in July. Received it in about 2 1/2 weeks… easy setup and management with the app… used it on a east coast US road trip in August worked at all EZ pass tolls including border crossings/bridges/tunnels/express lanes we used .. will be used for a trip to Florida next summer

+1 for SunPass Pro. We upgraded from regular SunPass mini to Pro at least 2 years ago and it has been flawless for 2 trips now. Works all the way down the Eastern Seaboard and at border crossings. Ships directly to Canada and arrives in a few days.

Whether or not there is a monthly fee depends on which state manages the EZ Pass account. Also some states offer multiple plans and some plans may have a fee. OP -- do your research to know what might work best for you.

Also worth thinking about WHERE you will use the pass most. The main reason for a SunPass for us is that most of our toll road driving is in Florida and the toll discounts are better with the Florida SunPass or the CFX (Central Florida Expressway) Unipass than with the EZ Pass. If we did more visiting in the Northeast states then an EZ Pass might make more sense. The only other places we tend to accumulate tolls is Charlotte NC on the drive to/from Florida and for the bridges at the border crossings.
