well the 4 gig @ Wm are 14.88 & the 8 gig I think are like 24 - of course 2 gig is cheaper - LOL

+1 for Newegg... unless a local shop has a deal, NewEgg is usually hard tobeat... now they have a $9 4GBSDHC card..


Buy.com also has good prices and sales at times..

I did research on them before buying and the things I was reading alarmed me enough that I held onto my money for another month for the right deal to come along and bought elsewhere. They do have great prices on some things though.

Newegg is a good place to look. Monoprice, too.

I agree about Buy.com. DH and I have both purchased things from there. DH had a weird charge for something after a purchase, some subcription for something. I used Buy to purchase a book because I would get a mail-in rebate that made the item almost free. I never got my rebate.

Buy.com has great deals. I bought 4 - 2 GB SD Cards from them before our WDW trip in June. All of the cards had free shipping. I think I paid about $7 a piece for them.

google buy.com reviews. The very first one is all glowing, after that it goes downhill. Not everyone has a bad experience but if you read enough reviews you start to see a pattern. I didn't want to be a part of that pattern. For an $8 item, sure I would gamble. When I originally checked them out, I was looking to spend $600+ on a computer. I didn't like those odds for that.

I'm glad you had no issues. I was just telling the OP to be an informed buyer and to thoroughly check out who you are buying from and go in knowing all the possibilities.

I bought 2 2gb cards on ebay for less than $10 with free s/h. know your camera....most have limits. mine will only accept 2gb or less.

I did not find any 4 gigs there for $9 are you sure it was not a SDHC?

they are not the same and a SDHC will only work in a SDHC compatible device.

did not see that but then I was replying to the post you made to me, I posted about SD not SDHC.

I bought a 4 gig SDHC at Big lots for $12

Your new egg $7 SD card shipped to me will be $10.90 I can buy that same PNY 2 gigcard at Walmart for $9.88 plus tax so around $10.80 and I have it today.

I've always used buy.com and never had a problem. Usdually bought a cheap card with free shipiing. I think the most I ever spent with them is $5. LOL!
