Years ago, they had them at the AS food courts and they seemed pretty popular! Last few trips, they have not been on the menu.

Is there any place at WDW where I can still get a cheesesteak; ya know, thin steak, mushrooms, cheese, etc, lol?

Thanks~Lisa

I'm pretty sure my husband ate one of those in a wrap at POP food court our last trip a couple of weeks ago.

It is true that Everything Pop has something they call a cheesesteak, but to us it was horrible! Consider checking out Beaches and Cream, theirs looked much more appetizing!

Beaches and Cream used to have the most awesome ribeye steak sandwich, is that the one you mean? I wasn't sure it was still on the menu.

Thanks~Lisa

Cosmic Rays Starlight Cafe in MK has a steak sandwich..which you can add cheese, and then they have a fixins bar, that has onions, peppers and mushrooms that you can add.

The Plaza has a cheesesteak served on a hoagie. The pictures look really good.

Coming from PA (near Philly)......we like a good cheesesteak. ALthough I have not tried it, my friend said the one at the Plaza was decent....about the best in Disney!

I remember how good they used to be at the All Star Movies...I had them over and over again on a trip in 2001 when we stayed there. I made a special trip to Movies last year just to get one, but they are now a cheesesteak WRAP, which wasn't nearly as good, in my opinion. The wrap itsealf is just way too thin which made the whole thing very messy. I hope they bring it back on a bun. :goodvibes

Being from South Philly, the home of the original cheesesteak 75 years ago there are no good authentic Philly cheesteaks on property! Not trying to stir up the masses but it is a fact. The bread is different than what is used here, and trust me the bread makes the sandwich. Also some of the items that are put on cheesteaks at WDW would never grace a cheesestek here. That and the fact that they are way overpriced, $12 - $15 for a cheeseteak is almost criminal. Do yourself a favor and try for something different.

DeadHead, you're making my mouth water! ::yes:: I would LOVE to try an authentic Philly Cheesesteak. Do you have a favorite spot you go to to get your fix or are they all basically the same? What are the toppings or is it just basically cheese and steak like the name suggests?

I think I can remember the Caribbean Beach food court having a Cheesesteak sandwich when I was there in November.

Lil, the original cheesteak is made with provolone, and fried onions, and good thinly shaved rib-eye steak, served on a long roll (some would call it a hoagie roll). Today many vendors use cheese whiz, a lot of people like the whiz, not me I'm a traditionalist. As far as a favorite here in Philly, you could ask a thousand people and get a thousand different answers. Mine is at my local tavern around the corner from my home. At wdw, none.

When I had lunch at Le Cellier in September, they had one on their menu. I didn't like the cheese sauce at all. It had absolutely no flavor whatsoever.

I've had the one in the Plaza at MK and it was pretty good.

I'd have to say growing up in South Philly my favorite would be Tony Luke's with Jimmy's on South and then Geno's and Pat's following close behind! :thumbsup2 But I also agree you cannot get a Philadelphia Cheesesteak outside of Philly! They advertise it but no way close! I must agree.(I'm not a fan of the WHIZ either )

Geno's yummmm!!!! Time to make a trip soon, lol.

As a chessesteak Connoisseur, the wrap at the Pop was the only cheesesteak anything (sandwich, stromboli, wrap etc) that I didn't finish. It was atrocious. The birds got at least half of it
