Where can I find this print from the Beach Club?

I stayed at the Beach Club for the first time since the renovations and my wife and I really liked one of the prints they added (see below). I asked about it at the gift shop and the front desk. They definitely don't sell it there, and I was told to try the Art of Disney as a possibility. I was also told that it was a resort exclusive and not available for purchase. I didn't have a chance to stop at the Art of Disney, but if I don't have any other options, I will give them a call and see if I can send them a photo of the print to see if it is available. I'm sure someone else has tried to find the print. Any successes? Does anyone have any suggestions? If an item like that is a resort exclusive, are there any ways to track down your own copy?

Thanks,
Matt

I have been searching for this print too (to help my brother locate it) and asked on the boards a while back for help--he had his heart set on buying a print for his new apartment and it is nearly impossible to locate it. He told me he called the front desk at that time and asked if it was possible to buy and they told him no.

That's disappointing but not surprising. Disney is in such a unique position. They can sell just about anything. Shampoo that they give out for free at the hotels. Hotel wall art. Can you imagine Days Inn doing that? I'm surprised they don't sell all of the hotel prints. That's exactly the type of thing people would see and buy. What would they gain by not selling them? The "exclusivity" is meaningless; no one is going to stay at the hotel because they like that print. I could understand making something available to purchase only at a resort or park, but to not sell it at all? It seems to me like this is just another example of the limitation of their e-commerce capabilities, and web-based services in general. I am repeatedly surprised that with all the money they have, they don't improve in those areas. It would be simple to stock all the art. They already sell hundreds of different prints through their website, not to mention the resorts and parks, as well as the Art of Disney store.

I will give Art of Disney a call when I get a chance, just in case. Maybe it will show up at the International Festival of the Arts sometime.

While those links didn't help track down anyone who purchased a copy of the print, I did not know you could do a reverse google image search, so that is very helpful. Thanks.

We bought a similar print a few years ago at the Contemporary gift shop. I just love it. Good luck!
Interesting, Contemporary gift shop. Would you mind taking a photo of your print when you have a chance? That would be awesome. Thanks!

Sorry... I was just pointing out that others were also looking and hadn't found it for sale.

Also the reverse image search is a great way to find online sources selling artwork... My search turned up zero places selling the image.

Can you get somebody to make a print from your picture, or does Disney have it protected?

I 100% agree with you! I really wish it would become available for purchase.

My guess it would fall under one or two protections.

1. The image of Mickey and Minnie are under protection by Disney
2. The actual artist has the entire image under protection however the rights may be assigned to Disney.

You just know there would be people here complaining that it makes their stay less special to be staying in a room with artwork that someone can purchase to hang in their room....blah blah blah Disney is money hungry.::yes::

Someone could probably make a print from the picture, but it would come out terribly.

If I wanted to make a similar sized print from the photo I took, I would just have it printed at Costco or Walmart or Shutterfly. While the image is almost certainly protected, no one is going to care unless I try to sell it. But it wouldn't look good anyway. I just have to wait for Disney to get its act together. It's on my list with an Expedition Everest magnet. I ask someone at the gift shop every time I go through. One of these days, they're going to say yes.

There is a shop at Disney Springs, Art of Disney, where you can custom order Disney prints and posters. It's been a few years, but I ordered a print of the original Astro Orbiter ride poster for my son's space-themed bedroom. I've never seen these for sale anywhere else. Perhaps they would have this print in their database for ordering? I believe one of their draws is that they have Disney art you can't buy or order anywhere but in-store.

When DH and I were there this past April, I spent some time going through the computer kiosk at the Art of Disney store and looked through all of the available images to see if the BC print was in there to order. It wasn't :(
