Where can I find The Beast?

I've been lucky enough to get my picture with most of the characters except one...The Beast.

Is it true he can be found at Epcot in France???? If so, exactly how and where? This will be my #1 secret mission this September.

From Steve Soares' great website:

Characters from "Beauty and the Beast" appear intermittently.
Daily from 12:35pm to 5:55pm

So it looks like there is no set schedule.

Usually you can find him in France, upon occasion you can also find him with Belle in MGM. When it is off season they have character together. I was very lucky in MGM. I got Lilo and Stich, Mike and Sully, Hercules and Meg and of course The Beast and Belle. Good Luck to you!!

I've only been to WDW once so far ( going again in 4 weeks) but on my first day at Epoct and I had the pleasure of finding Beast! It is true that he can be found in France. We were having some Champagne inside of the wine shop and it started to pour, after 15 mins it died down and as soon as we stepped outside there Beast was! I was very excited seeing as though he is one of my favorite characters. Good luck finding him on your next trip, I also saw him and Belle lurking around by the gift shop in France while no one else seemed to notice.

Just returned on Tuesday and we found Belle and the Beast in France. Look for the Mickey hand on the side of a shop. They will be around the corner in a room that looks like a library.

We have always found Belle and the Beast in France. They are hidden in a small courtyard- so you do have to go looking for them. If the courtyard is empty- ask a cast member they probably know when their next appearance is scheduled. Have never seen the Beast anywhere else.

According to the information I have gathered and placed on a grid of characters' locations, Beast can be found Rarely in MK at the town square, occasionally at MGM at Crossroads of the World and Regularly at Epcot in France in the location suggested by 3 of the other board members. Good luck!

We caught him in France also. But on our trip in 2001 we saw him in MGM somewhere by the New York Street scene. don't ask me why he was there.

I saw him there as well a few years back, but he's not there anymore. That area is now a Power Ranger meet-and-greet area. France I think is the best spot to find him, although I haven't seen him there for about a year and a half. I guess I've just been missing him.

I'm glad I found this thread, we have never seen Beast either in 4 trips, and I know my dd would love to see him.

We found him with Belle last September, also in France at Epcot. We just happened to ask if Belle was going to be out, and they told us she would be out and the Beast would be with her, and they told us the time, which was about 45 minutes from the time it was. So we hung around the back courtyard and waited. While we were waiting, Mickey, Goofy, and Donald as the Three Muskateers came out and we got to meet them as well. When Belle and the Beast came out, they brought everyone into the library with them to do pictures and autographs. Since Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, it was all pretty exciting for me to meet them and get pictures with them!

Last time I checked, the Beast was at Kings Island, one of my favorite roller coasters of all time by the way.

The Beast is DH's favorite character, we have to search him out every trip... We always visit him in France, sometimes in the shop, sometimes right outside the shop - he comes out from the gate on the canal side of France next to the shop. Ask a CM and they'll tell you what time he's expected. However, on our last trip he was about 20 min. late. No matter, DH had to see the Beast so we waited like vultures - lol Thankfully DH didn't run down all the little ones waiting there, but waited patiently in line once the Beast arrived

We haven't met him yet either, but on our last trip to Disney in November, Sleeping Beauty (Akershus breakfast) gave us a heads up to look for him in France. We missed him but saw her again in France that evening! LOL
