I'm looking for the disney fanny packs for my kids and the only place I have found them so far is the main street mega store online for $28. Can I get them anywhere else cheaper? Also what about the autograph books and pens. I also saw the books online at the mainstreet store and they are $12 but couldn't find the pens. Are they that expensive or can I find them cheaper? My kids birthdays are coming up and I wanted to get them some stuff for our upcoming trip to take with them and these were the main 2 things (fanny packs and autograph books). Thanks for any help you can give me.

I can't help much, but you could make your own. I bought 2 black fanny packs at WalMart for $3 or so. At Jo Ann fabrics they have patches of Disney characters that you can iron on. Voila! Disney fanny pack.

Also, I think the autograph books are $5.50 or something in the parks. So, buying them in advance is overpriced. But if you want them early, this may be your only option. I personally am not a big fan of these books because the pages are so thin (newsprint like) and you can't attach a picture to them because they are so thin. (I like to add the picture by the autograph for a keepsake.) I went to Michaels Craft Store and bought one of those small 5x7 spiral scrapbooks and used that as an autograph book. I could easily attach a picture because the paper was more like cardstock and sturdy. You could decorate the cover and the pages with Disney stickers.

Not sure if they still have them, but I got my awesome Mickey fanny pack there. It is black and has a very cool Mickey logo design. It is compact but holds everything I need. Zippered sections, a zippered "mesh" compartment, place for cash, coins, credit cards, my eyeglass case, whatever you need.

AAA also has wonderful round Mickey icon luggage tags, photo albums, travel wallets, etc. AAA members get a discount.

That stuff is way overpriced. I'm not sure about the fannypack, but the autograph books are half that much at the parks.

I bought my son a red Lilo and Stitch fanny pack from a seller on ebay for $5.50. It had a WDW price tag on it. I believe it cost $12.50 there (I can't remember the exact cost).

You might want to check ebay. I'd see them on there every now and again. I haven't checked in about 6 weeks though.

I got my daughter the same lili and stich pack at the Disney Character warehouse at Sawgrass Mills mall here in Fla. If you are near any of these stores go there. It was $2.99. Also have my black leather one from MK about a zillion years ago. Was just at MK and they have a ton of really nice ones but at park prices. For girls at Party City in the princess party supplies I got my DD(5yrs old) a princess vinyl fanny pack that came with play glasses and lipstick for $6.99. Very cool and big enough for her to carry her stuff. glasses, wallet and of ocurse her lipstick dahling.

I got princess ones (kids size) at a party supply store. They were in the section with Disney Princess party supplies. It was in the $8 range and came with sunglasses. They had pink and purple.

We love the disney autograph books. I don't find the paper thin. We always have the character sign on the right page and attach a photo to the left page. We have autograph books that are 6 years old and have been looked through and thrown around (little kids) 100's of times. None of the pages have fallen out and we have great memories. I also wanted to get autograph books before our trip. I found a relative (we also have a coworker who will be going) that agreed to pick up the autograph book and the Disney handheld games for me. I bet if you think about it you can find someone that you know that are going before you. Good luck.

Making your own fanny pack may be the way to go. you can get them inexpensively, and then decorate them with your childrens favorite characters!!! they have the patches at walmart as well as joannes!!! you could also get a disney key chain of their favorite character to attach to the zipper. Our dollar tree store has them in right now. they also have some really nice scrapbook/photo albums that might work really well as autograph books which you can put a picture with. the books are really fun, and they keep the kids busy in line too!!! i have taken many kids to WDW, and love to make them a fanny pack or back pack full of treats. some fun things that i have hidden inside are...small disney sticker/coloring books (walmart), crayons, disney pen, autograph books, bundles of tootsie pops, travel games (regular and electronic), tiny koosh balls (party store or sometimes in the candy machines), disney themed party favors, little bottles of bubbles, rain poncho (small ones from dollar store), little disney figures, matchbox cars, tiny army men, tiny 110 cameras (kay be toys), disney store trinkets...i could go on and on,,,,a favorite disney character t shirt was also fun to give to wear down on the airplane!!! you can really have fun with this!!! believe me, they will always remember it, and it will help keep them busy when in line, when waiting at a restaurant, when waiting for the bus, when waiting for adults to get ready, when waiting for a show or parade to start,,,,did i mention waiting?::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo
