Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find the best rate for any of the on site hotels for 1 night??

Call Universal directly at 1-888-U-ESCAPE. The best deals seem to be from Entertainment rates, but they seem to sell out the quickest. Good rates can be had from AAA or AP discounts. Also try www.travelocity.com, www.expedia.com, or www.hoteldiscounts.com for some good rates.

Start calling or checking as soon as you know your vacation dates. The best deals usually sell out early, sometimes months in advance depending on the season.
