Where can I find a Ringnes outside the world?

Good Advice Ann! I just sent them an e-mail asking for a "special order" also. I haven't heard back from them yet but will let everyone know if they will accept this order and ship it to me.

On their website it appears as though they ship items, especially wines, all over the country so it shouldn't be a problem.

Keep us posted Ann;)

Maybe if we bombard the Bottle King with requests to ship Ringnes, they will give in and do it!! Let's keep on pestering them!

Another update for everyone interested in Ringnes...I received a very nice e-mail from an employee of the bottle king and he told me that he was sorry, they could not possibly ship beer because of expense and it being so fragile.

He did ask where I was from and told me that he would help me find a distributor in or near Kentucky that has Ringnes.

If he contacts me and we are successful in our "quest" I would be glad to buy extra and ship it to any of you at your expense of course.....if I buy extra and you guys change your minds....well...I'll just drink em' all!!!!

Have a Happy Holiday Weekend Everyone.

I'm so sorry to hear that news. I was really hoping that Bottle King was the answer to all our problems. I have looked around the web to see if I can find any other places that sell it on-line but I haven't found any yet. I'll keep looking. :Pinkbounc

You've got a deal!! If you manage to get your hands on some Ringnes, I'll be happy to pay for the shipping. It will be worth it to see DH's tears of joy over having his beloved Ringnes. Keep us posted, and good work!!

Ann

If I am successful in finding some, I'll gladly ship you some!!

I have one more idea I think you and your husband would like......we'll just have to all pack up and head to Disney and have a cold Ringnes together!!

I finally have an excuse to take another trip to Disney World;)

There is nothing seasonal about Ringnes - its a simple lager style beer.

For anyone interested in a much better Norwegian beer I would recommend - and don't laugh its really the name - Aass beers. There are several varieties of this brew and its far superior to Ringnes. Don't get me wrong I like Ringnes - but an Aass Bach is much better.

This may be a round about way of investigating things, but I would ask the local home brew supply store for the best place to buy imported beers. They will have the inside scoop I'm sure. We were surprized that the best place here is pretty much a dump, but the selection is fabulous.

Good luck!

Melissa

but I went to Ringnes.no and sent an email asking if they could give me a list of stores in the U.S. where it is sold. I'll post again if I get a response.

I'd definitely appreciate that! I don't understand what happened, it used to be so easy to get Ringnes in Houston and now nothing.

We'll be in WDW June 5-15 if you would like to meet in Norway to have a Ringnes. Would it be considered obsessive to plan a trip to WDW around the possibility of Ringnes?!

Here is the e-mail that I recieved back from Ringnes:

Hello,

and thank you for your e-mail, and for your interest in our beer. We are pleased to hear about your liking for Ringnes Beer, but sorry it is so difficult to get hold of in the USA.

Due to low volumes the last years, we had to end our business relationship with LA Piccirillo last year.

Nevertheless, they still might be able to help you locate som Ringnes Beer.

Here is their address.

L.A. Piccirillo, Inc.
10-12 Richard Street
Newark, New Jersey 07105-0328
phone#: (973) 589 8080

We thank you once again for your interest in our beer and hope you will be enjoying your Ringnes Beer very soon!

Best regards,

I'll just add Ringnes to my list of WDW exclusive treats. Just behind the Mickey bars and rice cream. Maybe it'll be back to the US someday.

Been following this Post and am sorry that Ringnes is probably unavailable. It is good beer.
But try Melissa's suggestion--Aass Beer is quite good also, and at least it's from Norway. The place I go to in Hanover Pa. has 3 different kinds of Aass beer and I can recommend all 3.

Thank You all for the great information....I hope we are successful in findin a Ringnes (or two, or three)

Ann I would think a ringnes is as good of a reason to go to Disney as any!!! I won't be in the World of Disney until probably next December but I will think about you guys and envy how you are enjoying a refreshing Ringnes in Norway without me!!

Have a wonderful and safe trip;)
