Hiya, Can anyone tell me where i can get hold of the crystal hidden mickeys? They are fab and really want them for flowers etc for the wedding, just to add that special disney touch! Thanks x :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

When i went to my plannng session, Laura with Disney Floral told me about them, and they do them. they're awesome and i can't wait to see them in my bouqet. If your'e getting your floral done by them, just ask! They can do them in clear, blue and pink. i'm agetting clear and blue!!!

I had them in my bouqet. They were $3 each through Disney floral. I had 6.
I also had some large ones made up when I got home by the lady who made my tiara. I put these in my bunches of flowers around my home. They are gorgeous.

Does anyone have pictures of these crystal hiddem mickey's. I am having a florist friend do my flowers for the wedding instead of Disney and would like to try to make or buy something like them.

When mom and I did the Backstage Magic tour, we saw the florial department. When we said that I was getting married at Disney they showed us how they make them. They used pearls for the demo. They use the star shapped flowers for this (I assume they work best) I'm sorry but I have no idea what they're called. They take the flower and remove the center then put pearls on floral stems into the center in the 3 circle pattern. then they tape it all up, and add it to the bouquet.

Here's a pic of my bouquet. If you look close you can make out the Mickey's in the white star flowers.

At my Planning Session, I asked the Disney Floral Event Manager to have Hidden Mickey’s added to my bouquet. I wasn’t having very many true Disney touches at my vow renewal, so I thought a few Hidden Mickey’s were definitely in order. She asked me if I wanted them added to my bridesmaids’ bouquets, too. Of course, I told her yes.

The Floral Event Manager then asked me if I wanted a Hidden Mickey added to the stem of my bouquet. She said it would anchor the ribbons on my hand-tied, French-style bouquet. I hadn’t heard of that touch before but it sounded lovely so I gave the okay. It would be one of those special touches that only I would see.

After we had discussed the bouquets, the Floral Event Manager asked me if I wanted a Hidden Mickey added to my husband’s boutonnière. I hadn’t heard of that before. Of course, I said yes. I knew it would be something that would make my husband smile.

This is what was stated on my Floral Proposal:

- - - - - - -
Bride:

Round, hand-tied, French style bouquet of pastel floral to include pink freesia, lavender freesia, pink, lavender, peach and yellow roses and stephanotis blooms with pearl inserts. Place three hidden Mickey's randomly placed in stephanotis blooms throughout bouquet. 75% ribbon wrap the faux stems with sheer dijon ribbon. No bow/streamers. Single pearl Mickey closure on handle.

Bridesmaids:
Round, hand-tied, French style bouquet to match the bride. Design smaller. Stephanotis blooms randomly placed throughout bouquet with hidden Mickey's. 75% ribbon wrap the faux stems with TBD ribbon. Accent with simple shoelace bow and streamers.

Groom:
Rose with double stephanotis blooms (Pearl hidden Mickey). Ivy accents.

Here is a photo of all three bouquets: click here. And here is a photo of a Hidden Mickey in my bouquet: click here. As you just saw, the Hidden Mickey’s were placed inside the stephanotis blooms. That flower is perfect for the unique touch.

I don’t remember how many Hidden Mickey’s were in my bouquet. There were quite a few. If you just glanced at my bouquet, you wouldn’t notice them. But if you put my bouquet up to your nose in order to smell its incredible fragrance, you’d see the little Mickey heads peeking back at you. They were adorable.

I wish I had done them in the bouttonaires and corsages now. I never thought of it at the time. But they add a real sparkle.
Wouldn't you think that DFTW would make up a booklet of all the little extras they do.
To be honest I didn't know of these hidden mickeys until 2 weeks before and I read about them on here!

I had one in the handle too, but they didn't ask me about that one it was just there. I loved it.

This evening I was posting in another thread about flowers. One of my fellow Dis'ers wanted to know about the roses that were used in my bouquet so I found a few photos to share.

As I was sharing those photos, one of them really caught my attention. When I had put that particular photo into my on-line photo album two weeks ago, I hadn’t paid much attention to it. But when I looked at it this evening, well, guess what jumped out at me? You got that right. Hidden Mickey’s.

I thought I’d share that photo here in this thread. It is of my bridesmaid’s bouquet. If you look at it, you should be able to pick out three sets of Hidden Mickey’s: click here.

I hope that helped.

Melmel, I love that photo of your bouquet's handle -- the Hidden Mickey is adorable.

Janine, if I am reading your post correctly, your Hidden Mickey's twinkled? Meaning, they gave off a glow from a battery? Please enlighten me (no pun intended!). ;)

I just cropped a photo so that you could see what my husband's boutonnière looked like with Hidden Mickey's in it. I'm sorry the photo looks so grainy but I really had to crop it in order to show a close-up view of it.

Janet I think that Janines were crystal so that is the reason they twinkled- I just emailed and added a swarovski crystal mickey to mine -

Thanks Janet, that actually ended up being my favorite part of the bouquet, since it was a suprise to me when it arrived. And because it wasn't visiable to anyone else when I was holding it, it was kind of like a private one just for me. I know totally dopey but very very much a bit of disney magic.

That's exactly how I felt about the Hidden Mickey, too. When my Floral Event Manager asked me if I wanted the ribbons on the handle of my bouquet anchored by the little guy, I knew it would be a touch that only I would see. A private joke between me and my boyfriend (a.k.a., Mickey Mouse), unbeknownst to my husband. ;)

Thank you for the clarification, Allisonswonderland.

By the way, I hope your bouquet is gorgeous with those crystals in them. I know I loved the pearl ones.
