I have heard posters discuss autograph books for kids to take and get character autographs. Where can I find one for a toddler boy and a toddler girl? I would prefer to purchase them before we get to Disney, b/c I imagine if you buy them at the parks they would be pretty expensive. Thanks. :sunny:

I've seen some autograph books on eBay for $4.95 but then you have to pay for shipping. The autograph books at the parks are only $6.95. They also sell them at the outlet stores outside of Downtown Disney for about $3.50. I've also read where some dis'ers were buying them at the Dollar Tree or Dollar Store.

For toddlers, I honestly wouldn't deal with autograph books. Just get their pictures with the characters (if the kids are willing to get near them. You may have to be content with waving at them from a distance!)

Another idea is to have the characters autograph something other than a book. I made a small Minnie baby blanket for my then-toddler and had the characters autograph it. She's now 6 and still uses and treasures it. All of our autograph books just sit on bookshelves.

If you REALLY want to buy autograph books, just buy them once you get there. They're not that expensive, and they say Disney World on them. You can buy them EVERYWHERE once you get there -- every store and kiosk in the resorts and parks has them.

walmart has really pretty fur books with cinderella on the front embroidered, i bought one for my dd , i think it was like 3.95.......I also found books at the dollar store with mickey on them, and one with 3 princesses (cindy, belle and aurora) for a buck.

We bought them at Walmart in Kissimmee. I think they were 1.97 each. We didn't get anything fancy. Just small 3x5 spiral ring booklet that had Disney characters on them. WDW sells hard covered bound versions from $10-25 or so. Our children didn't seem to care what the books looked like, they just wanted the character to sign something.

We got ours at the Dollar Tree. I got my ds a Winnie the Pooh one and my dd a princess one. They're not fancy or anything, but they're the perfect size to carry around. I'm hoping to use my dd's birthday shirt as an autograph shirt as well. I ordered it bigger so she should be able to wear it for a while.

Just FYI, they won't autograph anything you are currently wearing.
And you might want to bring a small piece of cardboard or something you can put under the shirt so they have a hard surface to sign against!

All of my kids have hats signed by some characters. You can't get a lot of signatures on a hat, though.

So when others were talking about autograph shirts, they were just going to carry them around and get them signed then? I didn't realize that. Thanks. It's not that important that she get the shirt signed too. I just thought it would be neat. I don't want any sigs on it till she wears it though and we only have two days left after her bday down there.

Are you going to a character meal on her birthday? If you do, they'll make a big fuss over her, and you can get them all to sign her shirt then.

I've been thinking about autograph books for our upcoming trip (we leave in 8 days!). I think I've decided on going to Michaels (a local craft store) and buying a relatively small "memory" book.....it's got acid-free sheets (35....much more than you'd find in a small photo album or some autograph books). I plan on taking pictures with the characters, and getting them to sign a page in the book. Then when I get the photos printed, I'm going to put them on the page with their autograph. (the pages in the memory book I'm going to buy were considerably larger than a standard picture). Any left-over pages or room, I'm going to put their park passes, or stickers of characters and any other thing that I may find along the way. That way, it's a photo album/autograph book/scrapbook all in one! (geez....hopefully I'll find the time :hourglass to do it all once we get back and before Christmas is here!!!)
