Where can ecvs/scooters not travel to?

my friend did HM in her ECV not too long ago. Is this some thing new? like she was there 2 weeks a go.

or do you mean at the end if you need to get right up to the load area

I just got home yesterday and rode HM on Sunday and was told we had to park the ECV and I could transfer to a WC and have a family member take me in that. This was outside the ride before you enter the que. They have an ECV parking area (labeled as such) with several WC's and a CM there to assist. Same thing happened last year when I rode it (either in September or December - I can't remember which). Hopefully that area isn't set up just for me - haha! ;)

most restaurants ask you to leave the scooter at the entrance since it is so crowded at the tables. even CS ones can be a PITA to maneuver around the lines. in fact many times I wheel over to my seat, transfer then the chair gets folded up and stashed in a corner as it takes up more room than just a standard chair

rides that require you to transfer to a manual chair are so listed at the ride entrance( and on the maps)

same with attractions

be advised that a power chair learning curve is pretty steep and if you do not already use one regularly, it will be nearly impossible to get the hang of it at WDW and some places will not even consider renting you one unless you own one at home.

I did read it carefully and it's only some places that won't rent to dh due to the fact he does not own a ecv

Now if I can't own a Disney vender the only rule is Dh and myself must be present (sp)

Too funny just road and there were 2 ECV right in front of me

Might be it was not crowded?

Hmmm...how odd? I had a fastpass but I don't think that had anything to do with it - the wait was only 20 minutes or so anyway.

Perhaps they really DID set that area up for me! Wow! I hope they put my name on it - I have my own little piece of the Magic Kingdom set aside just for me! lol

Seriously though - I don't know what to tell you - I had a standard rented ECV and a fast pass and it wasn't crowded - and fairly similar situation last year. Before that I remember doing through in the ECV. Perhaps they only take through people to the WC area who have someone there who can push them? My sons were with me both times.

I just checked an old map, from November 2016. It says that you have to transfer from wheelchair/ECV. It isn't the same icon as Winnie the Pooh or Space Mountain.

Curious.

I know it was but I did see where you where talking about, maybe the CM at the ride entice was feeling nice on some days and letting ECV go in, ( I know my friend just went in, and just yesterday, when I went there was another ECV driver ( I use the alternative entrance too the ECV wheel chair use. and the ECV driver was just 2 or 3 groups behind me, so she followed me in. I guess If someone else goes place on transferring and if they let you stay in then good for you.

I wonder if it is not the type of ECV you have like if you have a small one? because her was a small one.

I have always taken my ecv through the line at HM and after the stretching room they would have me park it outside then load in a different area. Last trip (April) I headed into the line like I've done a hundred times and they said I couldn't. I don't remember what we wound up doing, but I think there was some refurbishment being done in the queue area so maybe that made the area to narrow to maneuver in. I'm going back in two months so it'll be interesting to see what happens then
