We are planning a trip on a smaller budget this year, and are planning to share some meals. This won't be hard for us, because the portions are so huge in some places. I am looking for suggestions at TS restaurants where sharing is possible. Thank you for your help!

My family of 3 (me, DH, and DD) almost always shares at non-buffet or family style TS places. We usually have 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert, and we walk out satisfied- not stuffed, but not still hungry. We have never had any problems sharing, and never had any CMs tell us we couldn't. Some of our favorite places to share are:

-Plaza at MK
-Spoodles (we sometimes do a meal of all appetizers, tapas-style) at Boardwalk
-Restaurant Marrakesh at Morocco pavilion in Epcot
-Mama Melrose at DHS

NOTE- we do feel that the servers deserve a bit larger tip from us than the normal 15-20%, since they are working as hard, but we will have a lower bill than others. We usually tip closer to 25-30% when we share. JMO.

Thank you for the replies so far. Keep 'em coming!:goodvibes

Just to clarify, we are NOT planning to use the Dining Plan.

My mom and I usually share at all non buffet's. The only exception is Le Cellier. The food is just too good to share and the portions are a bit smaller there.

The only TS we share at is B&C, but that's because the desserts are so huge.

I know you said TS, but if you're looking to save money and want to also share at a CS, Cosmic Rays chicken/rib combo or the platter at Tangierine Cafe are big enough to share for most people. :)

We share the double burger at Beaches and Cream and then a No Way Jose sundae!! Yummy!!!

Absolutely!

In the past we have always shared meals. A, to save money and B, the portions were too large. This year we were not able to share very often. The portions are much smaller than they were last year.

My new plan of attack is just to order the kids meals. It worked better for us last time. The only problem is the lack of choice on the kids menu.
