Trying to decide if I should make some plans... Where are you eating 4th of July?

I'm not sure what time we are arriving yet or what we are doing that day but more than likely we will stay away from MK...

Does anyone know if the crowd and /or restrictions usually lift after the fireworks are over?
Anyone done Hoop De Doo on the 4th- Can you see the fireworks from that area?

We are doing Yachtman's and then sneaking in the backdoor of EPCOT for Illuminations. We want to do MK, but I just don't want to deal with those crowds!!

Call me a glutton for punishment but we are having dinner at LTT in MK on 4th of July.....My dad "must" be in MK for 4th of July....with the grandkids as he was with my sis and I in mid 80's!!!

Fellow glutton here -- goin' to Tony's at MK! Thought about changing it because of all the bad reviews, but we really wanted to try it!

Well, I think I like your Dad! That is really sweet, actually! :)

We are having lunch at 50's and dinner at The Wave. July 4th is our son's birthday. We are going to watch the MK fireworks from the beach at the Poly after dinner.

We are eating at Chefs de France. We figured to stop by MK in morning and go to Epcot at night and watch Illuminations after dinner:thumbsup2 .

We're having lunch at Chefs de France; no plans yet for dinner. Might just grab a snack later, or go to Beaches & Cream. We plan to be at Epcot for the 4th!

Have a great trip. :wizard:

You might want to pick an alternate place to watch the fireworks. We've been at Disney for the 4th of July in 2005 ad 2007 and I remember people saying that was one of the few times they were checking IDs at the Poly beach. It gets so crowded that they were only allowing Polynesian resort guests there.

We stayed at GF during the 4th of July and I don't think they were checking resort IDs there. You can go over to the dock and get a really good view of the fireworks.

I hope you are planning on being at the Mk all day.If you leave , you may not get back in.

We decided to go a different route and avoid the parks on the 4th.

We're staying at AKVs and are having barbeque ribs w/all the fixins delivered! That frees up a night on our DDP so we can use the credit at a signature location. After dinner, our DD & her DBF and our son and his DGF have evening carriage rides scheduled.

BTW... our DS is proposing on his ride!

We are sleeping late, doing a pool day, and then eating dinner at our resort at Boma.

im going to ak for donalds safari in the morning and in the evening i will first try to get a photoshoot at poly and then kona cafe

joyce

The first 3 nights of our trip, which includes the 4th, we won't be on the dining plan. So, we decided to do something kind of simple for the 4th. We are going to sleep in, enjoy the pool a bit, go to ESPN club, and then into Epcot for the fireworks.

We are eating dinner at Narcoosee's on the 4th and hopefully we have timed it right so that we can watch the fireworks from there! We actually have a ressie for CRT for lunch too so we will be at MK on the 4th but will leave right after lunch.

We're doing The Wave on the 5th, considering just dining in room for the Fireworks at CR.

Breakfast at Kona's and then we fly home! So dinner will probably be McDonald's after we land and begin the drive home.

Whispering Canyon....then try to find a a spot to watch the fireworks.

Is there any place at the WL to see them?
