I am staying at Emerald Island Resort in a few weeks. I was wondering if anyone knows where the nearest Walmart is?
I would like to go there to buy diapers and formula, rather than pack them.

Just a warning... If you visit the Walmart on 192 give yourself an hour to get out of the parking lot! It was absolute chaos. We will NEVER go back. They are building a Super Target across the road. Looks like it will have a light to exit the parking lot. I'd go there if it's done or head South on 27, I think there is a Walmart there.

there are a couple on US 192 - the one near OL, I think, already has a light?

there is another walmart by the mall on sand lake road. Less crowded than the one on 192. does not have the big food store inside.

All the Walmarts in WDW are Super Wal Marts with the food center. Even the one on Sand Lake.

They are building a new Wal Mart on 535. Probably to replace the one on 192. They are also building a Super Target in that area.

I like the one on sand Lake rd the best!!

the easiest way in is by the gas station on sand lake and the easiest way out is down by the lights on John youngparkway as long as your going to be going right

I'm with Lisa AF, I hate the Walmart on 192. Ridiculous traffic, even just getting there, it seems to take forever to get down that little stretch of 192. completely not worth the time in the little bit of money you might save. I stick to the grocery stores, Winn Dixie or Publix. their prices are not that much different, you will make up in time the little amount of money you might save at Walmart.

The one on Sandlake Rd is at least 30 minutes one way from Emerald Isle.

I have also seen a company called wegoshop.com use by some people to have items deliveried directly to their home.

I heard they are building one around the intersection of 27 and 192. Has anyone heard when it will be opening? It was scheduled to open in either Sept. or Oct. 2004, but with the recent weather that may have changed. Any info???
