Hi,

Yes, I know it's bad for you.
Yes, I know you don't like it.
Yes, I know that you would like for me to not smoke anywhere near you because you have asthma/allergies/sinus problems/issues etc.

I promise.

But can someone tell me where the smoking rooms are at the Boardwalk Villas? And also point me in the direction of a map?

Thanks much,

The 2nd floor is smoking.

All over the whole place? I mean, are there preferred views and Boardwalk views which are smoking?

Thanks much,

I've heard all boardwalk view rooms are non-smoking. I know there are some smoking rooms at the very end of the hall near the quiet pool/pond on the second floor.

I've always thought all 2nd floor rooms were smoking optional, though I would only know for sure about the standard-view rooms (overlooking the front entrance) since that's where we always stay as DVC members with BWV as our home resort. We stayed in 2123 (an excellent corner room which is a dedicated one-bedroom unit across from the bus stop) and found it to be perfectly acceptable even though we are non-smokers (couldn't pass up that extra-large room on the corner!).

Perhaps you can call the resort to confirm. The number is (407) 939-5100.

That's not the case. I've have a spreadsheet another DVC member put together listing the attributes of almost all the Boardwalk view villas, and 2047 and 2049 are listed as smoking optional:

You wouldn't happen to have that spreadsheet handy, would you?

Oh, and the reason I'm asking about the location of the smoking rooms is that the last time we stayed at BWV, we were put at the FAR end of the FARTHEST from the lobby corridor - literally as far from the lobby as you could possible put us. All the way to the farthest end of the hotel, overlooking the far edge of the valet parking lot. Which was great for exercise, but a little hard on the parents (early 70's). So I'm hoping for a preferred view smoking 2 bedroom villa this time around . . .

KC - It wouldn't hurt to request close to the elevators.

Best wishes -

Here's the spreadsheet:

http://members.aol.com/InstImpres/boardwalk.pdf

It does show 2047 and 2049 as smoking and handicapped. I'm not sure how old the info is, I know BWV cut back on the smoking rooms. I've seen it posted that all boardwalk views are now non-smoking.
