Where are the preferred rooms at CBR?

Preferred rooms costing extra nightly are in Trinidad North and Martinique. If you want to be very close to the main pool and food court these would be the best locations. I think they are worth the money.

If you don't want to pay extra many like to request Jamaica or Aruba. They are a short walk across the bridge on the other side of the lake.

You might want to read the CBR FAQ threads listed below. It contains a lot of great information. I also have lots of CBR pictures. You will love it there.

I see that you pay extra for these locations and the rate is the same as water view in other buildings and the other moderates. Does this mean that a water view would only be a request and not guaranteed for Trinidad North and Martinique? We would like a water view if we stay there and are willing to pay extra so I'm wondering if this is an option? We would not want a view of the parking lots. I can't seem to find the answer to this question. Sorry if it has been answered in the CBR Faq.

Not sure about this but I think if you pay twice you can get water view and preferred location.

Even the locations that are on the back of the buildings you have a hard time seeing cars in the parking lots.

Personally I don't think paying for a water view at CBRis a good option. From some rooms it is very hard to see the water and that view may be of a swimming pool.

Since you don't have a balcony it is hard to see the water and we kept the curtains closed most of the time so you don't feel like you are in a fish bowl with everyone looking in your room as they go by.

I was told that you could pay for either a water view or preferred room not both. I booked a preferred room and requested a waterview but it's really the luck of the draw. Book what is most important to you.

Please help me understand as this is my first trip. I booked a water view room at CBR. Is there anyway to request in advance a room at Trinadad North or Martinique? Is paying extra for a water view considered an upgrade? I am traveling with two young children and the conveince will be helpful.

Thanks safetymom. How I wish the moderates had some sort of balcony. LoL I do step outside alot though and I would like something nice to gaze at. By chance are there courtyards with seating throughout the villages? We stayed a few years back in Aruba and loved it but now I use a cane while walking so I figured something close to the food court and restaurant would be nice. Your pictures are absolutely beautiful. CBR has always been my favorite moderate and your photos really make me want to return there.

Yes there are courtyards scattered throughout CBR. We loved that when our kids were younger. My sisters and I went and the kids played in the courtyard while the adults had their coffee and talked.
