Where are the Disney rain ponchos I see? I have never seen them in the park shops? Can I get one in POP gift shop?

This trip is really raining a lot and we've already been soaked once.

How much are they?

They have them at the counter. I can't remember the price though- $5 maybe?:confused3

As soon as it rains they are on every register everywhere. I wanna say they're in the 8-12 dollar range. Get a shopping bag to tote the wet ones around when it stops.

Do they just come out in the rain? DD wants one for splash mountain because she hates getting wet

We were there from 8/6-8/14 and only had to pull our ponchos out 2 times. One other time it was such a down pour that no matter what you had you would have been soaked; we were already in a gift shop in MK so we stayed there for about 1/2 an hour and then it was over. This was the least amount of rain we've ever had on our trips in August! That being said the have them everywhere, just ask and they will produce them. I'm sorry your trip is turning out so wet! Hopefully it gets better :)

We buy the dollar store ponchos. They are light and compact and one dollar. They fit nicely in our Disney backpack.

The yellow Mickey ponchos are now keepsakes. We pack them if it's going to rain all day.

The one problem i have with disney poncho's is that theyre not portable. Ever try folding one of those and putting it in your regular sized purse? Not an easy task. They take up too much space. Plus its like a sauna under that disney poncho...so very hot. I prefer the ones from the dollar store. Theyre $1 and light weight. Best part is you can throw them out after. If not, they dont take up much space in your purse.

I love the Disney ponchos. They are a much higher quality than the dollar store ones, and are longer too. I have a few at home, and I repack them for every trip to WDW. I tried to go the dollar store poncho route, but in a true rain the dollar store ones are worthless. Plus, I would feel guilty buying a bunch of dollar store ponchos and tossing them after each use. What a waste!

We tried the dollar store ponchos one trip -- never again. Yes, they are "light weight", but that is not a good thing. Imagine wrapping yourself in the cheapest plastic wrap you could buy. Not effective at all.

I have used the Disney ponchos and found they work well. But now I bring this with me, and it has lasted MANY Disney trips, along with other occasions: DRIDUCKS PONCHO. It comes with a case that is easy to pack it into after use, and slip back into my backpack. I just hang it up in the room overnight to dry for the next time.

What a great idea with the shopping bag. That's what deters me away from getting them is having no place to put the wet ponchos. Thx!

We've always used the cheap ones with no issues and tossed them when the rain is over.

I bought a few nice ponchos at Marshal's & TJ Maxx for our trip this year - they keep them right near where they sell the umbrellas. They were cheaper than the ones I got at Disney a few years ago (those wound up ripping after just a few wears) they seemed made of better material.

I just use a Disney umbrella, they are also behind the counters, and only about $12.00. The ponchos do nothing to keep water out of your face, that, and wet socks is the only thing that bothers me on a soggy Disney afternoon, when the Rain, Rain, Rain comes down! down! down!
