Where are the moderators today?

I am shocked and saddened reading the threads that have been posted today. Never in my life have I witnessed such childishness. And why are some allowed to say whatever mean spirited things they want while other threads are removed or the posters told to shut up or be suspended from the boards completely? Why are any of these "bashing" threads being allowed at all? I am so angry just reading them. I don't care which side you voted for. This is America and we all have a right to choose the candidate of our choice and the majority did just that. Be adult enough to accept what is and move on with life people. The world is not coming to an end. There is plenty of happy things to write about. This needless fighting and bashing is heartbreaking.

Actually I think they have been pretty busy.. I've seen several threads locked or gone "poof"..

Maybe you could try posting some happy/fluff threads that people can respond to.. That's what I'm doing right now.. I've had enough of the politics for this year..

You're allowed to post anything you want about political candidates and parties, you just aren't allowed personal attacks on other posters. You could say "Senator so-and-so kills puppies for fun" and that's fine. You just can't call the poster that wrote it an idiot.

According to some threads because I live in CA I am automatically evil and ignorant even though I voted against what made me evil and ignorant.

Does your post also include the gloating...Palin bashing....nasty threads/posts by the Dem side as well? Because I've seen loads of that today as well.

I'm really hoping that people are getting it out of their systems. Trying to keep things somewhat civil became impossible the past few days. I'm really disappointed in the way that a lot of people behaved as the election neared and today, as I know you all are also.

Lots of threads locked or poofed, lots of infractions, but this volunteer still has to put real life and real job first.

The shock is wearing off and so is the numbness. I felt he would lose but it still hurt.

I have seen several personal attacks and the post didn't go poof. The post stayed in the thread. It appears to be very subjective to which post go poof and which stay.

No, it's more a matter of which problems are reported to us. We don't read every thread or every post.

I think the Mods do a great job. They just can't be everywhere all the time. Instead of asking where are they and why aren't they doing something....we should thank them for all they do. JMO.

You can always report an inappropriate post via the Report a Post feature and/or notify individual Moderators via PM about infighting/sarcastic/spamming posts. After that it's up to the Mods.

Yes, one can do that, but I was taught a long time ago not to be a tattle-tale, as well as not to be a cry baby, so reporting posts just because I don't like what the poster has to say, is not an option for me. I graduated from Junior High quite a long time ago.
