Where are the dedicated studios?

Are there any dedicated studios? Which resorts have them?

I think BWV and AKV both have a few.

A dedicated unit will not have a connecting door. Some two bedroom units have a studio connected to a one bd to make the extra bedroom. My concern is that I've been in units where I was able to hear our neighbors all too well late at night. I don't want that noise if I can help it.

Dedicated means it is a stand alone studio not connected to a 1BR. Lock-off studio is part of 2BR which can be a separate 1BR and studio. There are some standard and value dedicated studios at AKV Jambo (none at Kidani). There a lot of them at BWV.

There are also Savanna View dedicated studios at AKV's Jambo House. The only booking category at Jambo House that does not have dedicated studios is Concierge.

The VWL room map shows some dedicated studios there as well.

At BWV, the dedicated studios have a small daybed. There are also dedicated 1 bedrooms at BWV. No dedicated 2 bedrooms.

According to a post by WebmasterDoc, BWV, VWL, BCV & AKV all have dedicated studios. AFAIK, we don't yet have the info for BLT or GCV.

Also, it has been previously posted that VGC will have no dedicated studios or 1BRs. And at AKV all the dedicated studios are at Jambo.

Remember that dedicated studio/one bedroom units are requests only, they are not a booking category. There is no way to guarantee a dedicated unit other than a two bedroom.

So if I read this right, BLT, SSR, and OKW are the only on-site DVC resorts that don't have dedicated studios? Also, neither of the off-site DVCs have dedicated studios?

That's how I read it.

Remember that dedicated studio/one bedroom units are requests only, they are not a booking category. There is no way to guarantee a dedicated unit other than a two bedroom.

The one exception to this would be AKV where the dedicated studios are a separate booking category. When AKV first opened there were a couple of people who had reserved a dedicated studio but were assigned to a lockoff when they arrived but I haven't heard any reports like that in quite some time.
