Where are the characters at DL and DCA?

Hi, All.

I'm making my only 2nd ever trip to Disneyland Resort next month and need your help! I have been to WDW 20+ times and know where to find the characters and which ones are likely to be at each location, but need help at DL and DCA. Does anyone have (or know where to find) a relatively comprehensive list of which characters typically appear where? When I was there a few years ago, I was more caught up in the whole DLR experience, but this time I'm hoping to see more characters.

I appreciate my fellow DIS'ers help, as always!

Well I don't have a list, but I can just tell you what I usually run into!

The front gate area after the turnstiles usually has quite a few characters when you first get there. We have seen Max, Pluto, Pinnochio and Gepetto, Baloo and many more that I can't remember right now.

Then after you go through the tunnels and onto Main Street we usually find Goofy, Mickey, Minnie (this is where they are wearing their 50th outfits!) Queen of Hearts, etc.

At the end of Main Street near the hub we have run into Mary Poppins, Captain Hook and Smee, and Alice and the Mad Hatter.

Of course Ariel is ove rin her Grotto. We usually run into Jane over near Tarzan's Treehouse, and in front of the Golden Horseshoe you will find Woody and Jesse from Toy Story.

Back by Splash Mountain in Critter Country is all the Pooh characters near the Winnie the Pooh ride. We run into Buzz at Tomorrowland Terrace, and of course there are tons of characters hanging out in Toontown: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Chip and Dale, and once I saw Roger Rabbit (not sure if that still happens!)

We have gotten great time with Snow White by her wishing well and run into a lot of princesses during the day in Fantasyland.

Over at DCA is a lot of princess interaction also, and this is where we usually see Donald Duck, Cruella Deville (she is great), Incredibles, Playhouse Disney characters on the Hollywood Backlot, Flik and Atta by Bug's Land, Brother Bear by his show, and Chip and Dale near Grizzly River Run.

I believe in the morning that the Traditional Characters are right on Main Street when you come in. You can find Pooh and Friends back by the WTP ride in Critter Country. There are always different characters wandering around Fantasyland. Back in MTT you can meet Mickey and friends.

I am not real up to speed with DCA. Only been there twice and was not looking for characters

DCA if you hang out in the 'hub' by Hollywood you'll see lots of characters pass you by. Sometimes coming into the bub for pictures, and sometimes just passing through.

There is almost always a character (lately the Incredibles) near an empty stage by the new Monsters ride. I've never seen a line to see them.

We see cruella walking through Hollywood

They do a show at the Animation building that (while I think it's beyond cheesy) my kids love. There is I think 3 audience participation spots in the show. They bring out 3 characters at the end of it, and then those characters are available for a photoshoot inside the animation building. There's almost always at least 1 character in the art gallery in the Animation building.

Brother bear bears are at their show or hanging out in the wilderness area often.

Mickey or Minnie in flight gear is hanging out on busier days at an airplane by Soarin

Mulan sometimes parades from I think somewhere near California Dreams to near the Tortilla factory.

The bug characters can be seen by their stage (in the bountiful area)

That's all I can think of, plus the characters in the blast parade

If it is rainy, be sure to check out the Animation building at DCA. There were about 15 characters in there when we went in January. They all wanted to keep dry.
