Where are the best ticket prices?

Disney Tickets are supposedly non-transferable and they belong to the person they were purchased for from that person's age at the time of purchase until they are used up. Therefore if you buy your 9 year old an adult ticket for some odd reason, they can still use the remaining portions when they are 13 for example. If the ticket has someone else's ID on it, that would be a bigger problem than the age of the user. But, no, Disney gatekeepers do not generally question the age of the guests, they depend on the honor system unless there is something obviously peculiar about the situation and they have other concerns.

...on my search for 6PHP tickets. The best price I had found was Florida Orlando Tickets UNTIL today! I finally ordered my tickets from Paramount International Travel. Although the total package was $4 more than the total would have been at Florida Orlando Tickets, it also included a character breakfast coupon. Since I am planning to do a couple of character breakfasts anyway, PI's deal is probably saving me at least $25 on top of feeling like I got the best price on tickets!

I checked with my Tn. AAA office, the price was 195.95 + 9.75% tax for a 4 day park hopper. I finally bought them through Ticketmania for a total of $203 each. They sent the tickets quickly and included many Orlando area and Disney brochures. I'm definitely pleased with them.

SuzEm: Where do you see a 6PHP with acharacter meal on Paramount's site? I'm interested in seeing more about this but cannot find it - only 5PHP and 7PHP without CB.

SuzEm,
Yes, please let us know. There aren't any 6 day hoppers listed on Paramounts site anymore. I know there use to be, and that is what I need!

If you know someone that works for the government you can get 4 day park hoppers for $180 total price per adult. Kids are only $145.

skiwee,

My DH works for the government. Where can I get Disney tickets with a government discount?

TandyR,

What is the price for an adult 6 day+ Portland's AAA?

csmommy,

Hi, I was the one that kept posting all those AAA rates from an earlier thread. I was the one who found the GA rates. When are you going to buy your tickets? I don't drive through GA until July. My MIL will drive through TN and GA in March. She is a AAA member. So I may have her buy them for me. Which GA did you contact. I believe they were going to charge you shipping?

I can't pull up OK AAA again. Everytime I search for a AAA office, it reels me back to Texas AAA. But I saw a glimpse of OK's pricing which I remember to be $1 more for 5 and 6+ days. I think the shipping was straight $3 with NO max like GA was charging.

SuzEM,

Which TN AAA did you contact for pricing? Have you contacted another city in TN for pricing and taxes. I can't believe TN is charging taxes because FL taxes are already included in the AAA price negotiations.

Ditto to Braque's question on 6+ days at Paramount with the character meal.

--------

I still believe the best price is the lowest per day on a "no expiration date" ticket. The lowest price/day is from GA/TN AAA for a plain 5 day. But looking at Paramount's site, their 7 PHP comes out to be which is basically 4 plusses free:

A: $42.85/ day
C: $34.86/day

SuzEm,

I found the thread on Paramount about the free character breakfast. $15 for shipping!!!! No wonder they have to include a breakfast voucher.

MMCD asks

"TandyR,

They have their listed rates, but cheaper rates may be found in the computer, but they refuse to look unless you are really going to buy so I couldn't find out what the price was in the computer. I just cut and pasted the list rates for all the passes here.

4 Day Park Hopper
Adult $203.86
Child (ages 3-9) $161.39

5 Day Park Hopper
Adult $219.52
Child (ages 3-9) $174.00

6 Day Park Hopper Plus
Adult $280.20
Child (ages 3-9) $223.57

These prices include tax.

Hey haven't seen you in a while, welcome back!:D

I haven't made my purchase yet, because I'm waiting to find out if the AP rates for May are better then the rates I have now. Savannah, GA was where that lovely women told me taxes were included, & the is certified & it costs $5 per $500 value. Her office is NOT opened on the weekends & is the closest to I95, so we were going to have them shipped.

You sound like someone I could have a lot of fun shopping with!!!!

My brother works for the Post Office, I wonder if he can get me passes at a discount?

skiwee1, please let us know how the government thing works.

:smooth:

Government and military have a Civilian Welfare Fund or CWF that sells tickets at great discounts. My DH isn't government but since he contracts out to them he has access to this place. The prices are great! They not only sell WDW tickets but also Seaworld, US/IoA, and other theme parks. Have your spouse ask his/her bosses where the CWF is located. It might be in a central location. Ours is at the Ft. Meade military base.

Cindala - I never did find it on their website. I called to get pricing on 6 PHP and find out about the Character Breakfast deal. Their base price on 6PHP is A-$275 and C-$223. Their number is listed on the other thread about Paramount International Travel - I don't have it in my notes.

MMCD - Yes, Paramount's shipping is higher than some, but I was comparing everyone's total, and my total cost from them was only $4 more than FloridaOrlandoTickets, and I got a Character Breakfast voucher which more than offset that $4. I had found another cheaper source for tickets (Great Fun - a membership deal that I currently have a $1 trial period on), the total from them was $11.05 cheaper. Since I had planned on a couple of character breakfasts anyway, it was an overall savings for me.

Regarding the AAA in TN, I called three different AAA offices in the middle TN area, and all of them gave me the same story. I suspect that AAA does not pay FL sales tax when they get their tickets from Disney since they are for "resale". They then have to charge local sales tax. I suspect that when you buy from a Disney Store, on their books you are actually purchasing from Disney in Florida, not their local store, and that is why you pay Florida tax not local tax. Paramount had AAA beat anyway, even on their base price before taxes.

Found the phone number for PI Travel - 888-281-6699

In regards to AAA in Rhode Island (via web) the only tickets offered are 4 day hoppers: 202 for adult and 166 child, in bold tax included.

expedia.com has a great deal on tickets. that's where we got ours. they have great vacation packages.

Okay, I have the GREAT deal on a Hotel (Swan) and now I am looking for the best price for tickets. Here is what I am looking for. We are arrving around 5 PM on a Sunday. We are staying 4 more full days. We are taking 2 teenagers, who, I am sure would like to go to Pleasure Island for dancing 1 evening. I dont think we will be doing the water parks this time. Does "length of stay" compare well to Hopper Plus? Is it worth getting Hopper Plus and going to PI (for 4) one evening? Are tickets still sold at Disney Stores? Last time I got a good price with my Magic Kingdom Card, but I know that does not exsist any longer. Thanks for your help. I am so GLAD I found this board!!!! Also, what is the best guide book to purchase?????

csmommy,

I've been job hunting. I'm a laid off engineer from the telecom industry. There are still many more lay offs in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I'm also looking in non-engineering jobs but the pay does not offset $1400/month of daycare. So I'm stuck as a SAHM.

I would love to bargain shop with you but I can't buy anything. But when I do buy, it's definitely going to bargain price!! We are going back to DW for Christmas. So I still have plenty of time to buy tickets but I want to make sure I get them before the price increase.

I want to buy tickets from AAA so I can get a AAA parking pass. But Paramount's breakfast voucher's sounds like a great offer.

I am keeping a list of pricing but I'm disappointed that the AAA prices are not consistant per their website.

Let me know if you found CFW.

SuzEm,

Please post the Great Fun website.

skiwee1,

Do you have any pricing on the 5 or 6+ days? Are you a skier per your user name?

Thanks,

MMCD

Yes I am a skier. And I'm short so hence Skiwee! LOL! We just got back from 6 beautiful days on the slopes and came home to 28 inches of snow. Ugh! Can't wait for WDW!! Here are some prices:

5 day park hopper with two extra days is $236 adult, $190 child.
5 day park hopper only is $206 adult, $165 child.

Funny we just took the kids to the slopes for the first time today. DD(4) said it was ok & was very tired, DS(7) loved snowboarding!!

Anyway, do you know if my DB can purchase these for me, he is a postal worker, without him actually coming with me?

skiwee1 & csmommy,

I'm so jealous!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to find a job!!!!! I want to go skiing so badly. We use to take 3 vacations a year. One to go to WDW for DH, one to Colorado for me to ski, and one per my 3 DSs' wish. Skiing is the most expensive so we had to stop that. Actually its the cost of ski school for 3 kids that is expensive. We are DVC members so our lodging is cheap at WDW.

I posted OK AAA rates at the other thread.

I'm still searching for CWF here in TX. But we will be Wash DC in July. Skiwee1, can you post the phone number of the contact name for the CWF at Ft. Meade?
