Where are the beauty gurus? Concealer recommendations?

So... I am generally a Bare Minerals user, and I have their powder concealer but I feel like I need something with a little more oomph for the bags under my eyes. I'd like to try a concealer with more coverage, but something I can still use under the BM powder foundation. I'm not opposed to spending $$$ on good cosmetics so I'm open to most recommendations. Any suggestions?

I'm not a huge makeup guru but I like MAC's concealer. It's in a little pump bottle. I have dark bags under my eyes that are hereditary and it does a good job.

I swear by the MAC Prolongwear Concealer. I have tried a ton of different concealers from higher end brands and this is the only one that stays put all day for me and doesn't crease. It even stays put during Florida summers.

I just looked at my bottle and this is the one I use. It really does work well, even in Florida summers.

Weeeeeeellllllll... I don't WANT to drive to the mall for MAC(there is an Ulta around the corner) but it's the front runner so far.

I love Tarte products the most, have used the maracuja concealer...a little bit goes a loooooong way. It's very thick and creamy, so you just use a teeny amount and warm it a little between your fingers and tap it on.

I also use the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea (the skin care line has changed my skin for the better!) The concealer seems thin and watery, but has great coverage. I can even use it over tinted moisturizer and I feel like it does a good job. And I could pack for vacation in the bags under my eyes!!

I do want to try Nars radiant creamy concealer because it gets great reviews.

Good luck...finding a good concealer can be hard. I'll find a good one, and then the weather changes or something with my skin changes and it needs to be switched out.

If you have an Ulta nearby, try IT Cosmetics' Bye Bye Undereye or Benefit's Boi-ing. Maybe get a few samples so you can play around and see what works best for you?

When I first started looking for an under-eye concealer, an associate at Ulta told me I didn't need concealing so much as I needed moisturizing. Once I got a good eye cream, that did wonders for my bags and dark circles.

My favorite was Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place concealer, but now my favorite is IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye (purchased at Ulta).

Mine are mostly caused by my allergies. But that is something to consider as well considering it is winter. :)

Have you tried the eye brightener stick from BM? I have it and really like it. I don't like concelear much because it makes my eye bags (isn't that lovely description lol) even darker.
I use the well rested stick/pen thingy and while it's drying work on other parts my face then back up eyes.

I went with the other BM one. I'm very brand loyalty when it comes to my base products lol. Change is scary!

I use the Bare Skin stuff under my powder foundation when I need a little extra coverage and it has been amazing - first time in a long time that my skin has stayed pretty clear.

I use several:

1. Sonia Kushiak (sp) Concealer Palette in Light 01 (3 colors plus a powder)
2. Benefit Bo-ing
3. Nars Creamy

My favorite is the $10.99 palette above from Target. I also use Bare Minerals and this gives me the best coverage. I prefer the lightest shade under my eyes and I use the other two colors around my nose and chin. I wish I could get the light concealer in one package because it's what I use the most of. Perfect consistency for me.

The Benefit one is just okay. It doesn't cover and smooth over as well so I have to work it more.

The Nars is good when I use a liquid foundation but not so much under Bare Minerals.

YESSSS! This. My favorite concealer ever. It's the thickest, fullest coverage concealer I've ever used. However, if you have very dry skin, I do find that it's not great for that. I have combination skin so I blend it with a wet beauty sponge and then put powder over it to set it and have no problems with it cracking or caking or anything. Also great for pimple coverage!

I use Clinique's concealer and it is awesome. Just creamy enough to spread well, but still covers completely. It doesn't sweat off even in Florida's heat and humidity.

For blemish coverage I absolutely love Bare Minerals bisque (there are several colors) and a concealer brush. It's like an eraser. It really is magical.
