I pre ordered the photo pass plus but I am unclear where I go to pick up the card itself. The voucher says at any of the "photopass sales centers" listed on the back of the voucher--but no locations are listed. Ideally I'd like to pick up in downtown Disney before entering the parks the night I arrive if possible. Does anyone know where all the centers are at DL and CA Adv?
thanks!

The one in Disneyland is at the end of Main Street at the hub on the right as you are looking at the castle. It is on the corner and it is a blue building. They say they open at park opening, but that was not our experience. They were a little late opening.

You can also exchange the voucher at any of the Character Meal restaurants (excluding Storytellers).

thanks! I wonder if i can go into a character meal restaurant even if i'm not eating there to do that? our first day will be in CA Adv--is there a photo center there?

Yes. That is where I exchanged my voucher. As you walk up Buena Vista Street, the store is on the right, near the monorail bridge. Kingswell Camera Shop.

Kingswell Camera Shop, on the west side of Buena Vista Plaza, is headquarters for Disney’s PhotoPass, where guests can pick up their photos taken by Disney’s roving photographers. The shop also sells memory cards, cameras, film, batteries, frames and photo albums.

Hope this helps! :goodvibes

What is the photo pass plus? Is it something for professional photographers (which does not apply to me at all) or is it to do with the DL cast members that take photos?

It is an 'enhanced' Photo Pass card, as it enables you to add on ride photos and dining experiences to your Photo Pass account.

Thank you. I went to the photopass website and not only did I not find any information about it, I about had a heart attack when I saw that the CD price went from $50 my last trip to $170

The $170 is for WDW's photopass plus. NOT DLR/DCA.

Regular price for PhotoPass+ for Disneyland Resort is $99.95.
Regular price for PhotoPass+ for Walt Disney World is $199.95.

(Thankfully the usually cost less if you pre-purchase.)

At first it seemed like a huge amount of cash to fork over for PhotoPass. But then as we rode rides and had a character meal, it became worth it. Normally I wouldn't even consider purchasing an on ride photo. ($15 for a digital download alone for one ride? Sheesh!)

However, for this past weekend Friday afternoon through Sunday night, we got eight on ride photos and the photos from Minnie's breakfast at the Plaza Inn on top of all the other PhotoPass pics we took. Deal of the century? No. Something to do all the time? Maybe. Worth it for this trip? Absolutely.

I'd love to know if there's somewhere I can redeem my voucher "before" entering the parks. We'll want to add ride photos almost immediately, hate to miss out, waiting on the DL location to open.

Is there a location in DCA where you can redeem the voucher? Or, can you stop by a character meal and redeem, even if you're not attending the character meal?

As long as you note the number on your ride photo, you can add it later in the day (up to 48 hours later).

The DCA location is listed above. I think I read somewhere about a DTD location as well, but I am not certain.

I highly recommend this PPP. We just go back and I picked up my card at the store on Main St by Minnie's Plaza Breakfast.
If you don't have your card the CM taking the photo will give you a card and you can add it later. I left w/ all my ride photos on my card - carsland, many from Space, Splash, tons from our character breakfast at Surf's up and Ariel's grotto, plus over 200 pictures the CM's took in the park. All the photos are put on your dics but you also get to have the actual photo pkg from the meals. It was so worth the price.
I was the first person the workers at the photo store had seen w/ the voucher and they had to call to get directions for redeeming it. I was a little worried.
$70 and it came within 5 days.

That was my experience too. I redeemed my PP+ card voucher at the Main Street Photo store on Saturday, 6/30. Hopefully, the workers are trained on how to redeem the voucher now. If not, plan on spending some extra time waiting for them to figure it out.

They seemed confused, almost baffled at DCA as well. Its still relatively new. In a month it will be old hat and a breeze for the CM's and guests alike.
