When's a good time to break in new sneakers?

Our trip isn't until December, I know we'll need new sneakers by then. (yes we love sneakers hate Crocs etc.)

When would be a good time to get them/break them in? I don't mind buying them now if it's a good deal, but when should we start wearing them.

We go to Disney every Sept. I buy my new Disney sneakers at the beginning of the whole summer so I wear them during the summer when I feel like wearing sneakers and really break them in for my trip. So I would suggest you get them in the fall (or when you find a sale) and wear them around.
