When your sponsor form does not arrive

Hi lovely Annual passports friends.....

Two quick questions for you. A kind soul used the form I sent them and used up all 3 places therefore meaning I can get the extra 12 months - am I right in thinking you can only claim this in the month before your passport runs out??

Also, I had another person use my details for 2 people but they never sent me the forms but I have their pass details. If I don't have the form with the Bureau stamp can I still claim these (I'm getting a third one on it in person next month).....I'm just unsure of how I can claim it.

AIUI if someone sends their forms out, and they are used and stamped, then the sponsor MUST receive those stamped forms back. If they don't then they do not get the benefit, each person can only sponsor three people, the Disney computer knows that they have. So, if the form gets used and not returned, then they will miss out totally

I think I scared two prospective people away by including this warning in the PM/email I sent - oopsie

Unfortunately as Annette's says you will need the form back, suitably stamped.

You do not need to wait until a month before your expiry to get the extra months/year added

I am not sure if the sponsoring scheme "1 sponsored = 1 month, 2 sponsored = 4 months" is still valid (actually it's just "3 sponsored = 12 months").

Usually it's not possible to do the renewal on site for others, just for yourself.

But if there's enough time left until expiration of your partner's AP, just take it with you and try (finding out if the "1 Month" is possible; be aware that several CMs can give you different answers at all.. asking twice is never a bad thing). Even if they can't hand out the renewed AP to you (saving €7 for postage , they could send it by mail then anyway.

(And don't forget: with 2 APs in your hands you could get 2 Fastpasses, too... shhhhh... secret...

Another word about "forms not sent back": it happens twice to me that the sponsored ones not living close to me were willing but unable to send back or thought they had done it in fact hadn't. In both cases it turned out that they just forgot and contacted me months later feeling very guilty... well... I think this can just happen. At least they had no bad intentions, so why should I complain

My advice if you can't be there together with the friends you sponsor: just ask them to prepare a return envelope early so they can return the form right from the Resort or Hotel! This might help the form to not get lost in the magic or on the journey home
