I don't know about anyone else, but I am sitting at my desk at work (yes, it's a slow day....:rolleyes1) and no matter how hard I try, I can't concentrate on anything but my upcoming trip to the VGF. And it's not until January 2016!!!!! :rotfl2: Anyone else suffering from the same affliction? It does not help to be on these boards, reading plans, trip reports, questions, etc!!! It would be so nice to be there right now. I should be working but instead, I'm dreaming about the following items:

  • The "croissant-doughnut" served at the EPCOT refreshment port (near Canada on the World Showcase side). Add vanilla ice cream. :worship:
  • The smell of the pine trees on Soarin'
  • Browsing the cool stuff at Memento Mori at the MK
  • A warm buttered croissant from the Boardwalk Bakery
  • The pitch black darkness on Expedition Everest!
  • The red velvet cupcake at the marketplace at the Beach Club
Sigh....what are your top "daydream at work" items?

LOL, cute! Many years back, when I was Disney crazy ... a day like yours (slow and craving a Disney fix) would sometimes lead to a phone call, "Hey, Mom -- care to run up to Disneyland for the day? Yes? Great -- meet me at the office and I'll drive from there ..." :) Living in Southern California has its advantages ...

I haven't done that in years (in spite of having a current Disneyland AP) ... but my daydreams, these days, are all about horses. If I hit a slow point in my work, I simply walk across the driveway, play for 15-30 minutes with my horses and have my 'fix'! (In this case, age has its advantages.)

Yes, and even more since I don't know when my next Disney trip will be, although I am thinking of working it in somehow when I go to Universal for Halloween Horror Nights. I am longing for these top 5:

#5 Mickey Bar
#4 Minnie Mouse chocolate caramel apple.
#3 The drop from Tower of Terror
#2 The backwards part of Expedition Everest, tummy tickler every time.
And #1disney welcome sign.jpg The feeling I get when I see the Welcome to Disney World sign.

Any day at WDW is better than work.
I have 3 DVC trips scheduled and one full day at AKL planned for this year and multiple trips set for next year and I want more (Little Mermaid song in my head now).
I want to get enough DVC points so I am going on DVC trips every month for 2 - 5 nights.

Can I join your family? :worship:

Loved your top 5 Brenda Kim!! :) I need to try one of the chocolate caramel apples next trip!!! :thumbsup2

Ha.... me too. Just the other day I smelled a charcoal/wood fire burning and I said to my wife..."ah, that smell reminds me of the smell you get outside the Flying Fish"! Only 5 more days!!!!!

If I didn't have to pay for plane fare (which just keeps going up and up and up), I'd do the same thing. Enjoy it!

Same here.......but I'm 115 days out. I can remember when it was 400....:sad1:

#5- Hearing "Welcome Home! at guard shack"
#4- Christmas Music at AKV
#3- That feeling of light-heartedness as you walk along Main Street USA
#2- Peoplemover!
#1- TONGA TOAST! and KONA PRESS POT

I've never had the Tonga toast! This sounds like something I need to try Trooper8286. :) For me, WDW is very food-centered! LOL!

You are all my kind of people.....just had to share!

And it's exactly ten months until we go back to WDW after three years so I am equally obsessed and will surely build up my list soon!

Speaks to our family situation and age range, but we start thinking of Trader Sams (CA or FL, doesn't matter)!

Yes any day at Disney is better than work . I just wished it did not cost more than a days pay to go for a day .

I'm having one of those days today. We have less than 30 days till our week at WL plus we will have our member number any day now and the suspense of planning a trip in march of 2016 is killing me!

#5 Hearing "Please stand clear of the doors, Por favor mantenganse alejados de las puertas"
#4 Hitting 65 MPH + in the right hand seat in test track
#3 Eating a Turkey leg
#2 Cracking open a Heineken at 10:30 am while watching the animals from my balcony in AKL (it's vacation after all)
#1 The burning embers smell when passing through Rome on Spaceship Earth

HA! I love your list! #5 resonates, especially when we stay at a monorail resort!! My husband would MOST definitely appreciate the #2 item (hello? anyone else build the bud light "beeraymid" in their resort room? :rotfl2:) but for sure, I love the your #1 item as well. Sigh....having another moment. LOL!!

When you'd rather be at WDW than work....anytime.

After a few 2BR stay's, we are in points conservation mode to maximize the value (and days) trying to focus on "value" room stays.
Only another 3 weeks till our next stay but this thread had me add a countdown on my phone for our next visit (under 300 days away - too far out).

Thanks... # 5 tells me I'm home and can let go for a few days. Have done #2 several times, the wife and kids used to bring back a 6 pack each time they hit the gift shop to distract me from the untold amount of money they just spent.

Some others that don't quite make the top 5 are

Eating the poutine at Le Celier
Riding big thunder mountain in the dark (in the last car)
Fishing Lake Buena Vista (still gotta catch that big one)
Forcing the concierge to re-supply the Yeungling in the fridge because I drank most of them

I only have 24 days 6 hours and 45 minutes until my flight leaves. Not that I'm counting or anything, lol! The first trip includes a 4 day cruise in the middle, then a girls trip for my birthday in February, and a graduation trip in June. My day dreams mostly have to do with food!!

* I agree with OP, I can taste the cronut already.
* Ohana bread pudding
* Like Trooper said, Tonga Toast!!!
*TOTWL for the fireworks and drinks on the girls trip
*Keys to the Kingdom tour on the girls trip
*Meeting our awesome cruise group at the Magic Kingdom for a snack
*ALL the rides and shows!!

I have been booking our trips no more than 5 months apart. If I am not at WDW, then I want to be able to plan my upcoming trip. Moreover, for me, 6 months would be far too long to be away from home.
