Now that I am an "adult" (even though my parents still seem to think I am 10) I asked my parents if I could plan our Disney vacation. To my suprise, the said....YES!!! (Not without hesitation of course). This will probably be one of my last summers at home, as I am transfering colleges and my new school is in NYC. So, in the middle of one of the busiest summers of my life, a getaway to the most magical place on earth was welcome!

First, let's meet the cast of this fantastic voyage!
:goofy: Dad: He seems quiet and reserved at first, but don't let hm fool you...this guy loves to have fun!!!!! He always says before every vacation to a theme park, "I don't know kids, I am too old to get on the rides this year...I don't think I am getting on any rides this year." This is never the case because he is a big baby and loves rides! Dad rarely gets to take vacations because of his business. Usually, it is Mom, Me, and Brother alone and he tries to meet up with us for a few days, if ever! Dad is really really really excited. He might be more excited than I am, but he will never admit it!

::MinnieMo Mom: She is absotlutly insane, but that is just why I love her. She is probably the polar opposite of my Dad. She is silly and loud, but like him she also like to have a good time. Mom is a pediatric nurse. She loves her job, but unlike Dad, she can bear to be away for a while! Mom is sweet and kind, but she knows how to stand up for herself and he family. She likes crafting and decorating. If she wasn't a nurse, she would be an interior designer. Mom also loves doting on her family, especially her "real" babies, out shih-tzu/bichon frise mix, Princess Sasha, and our two parakeets, Madonna and Guy Richie. She works so hard in her job and as a mom, she really needs this vacation!

:tinker: Me: I am an actress and figure skater who will be attending a really prestigious acting school next year (YAY!!!!!!). I am Disney obcessed, especially the princesses! I want to intern at Disney as Ariel or Tink. I just finished my freshman year of college. I like to plan, and I try my hardest to be organized! I love to read and I am a movie/music junkie!

:stitch: Brother: He is a very typical 12 year old. Loves soccer, video games, playing on the trampoline, and eating! Brother is actually my cousin, but we adopted him when his parents passed away. I love my little brother soooooo much! I am pretty much obcessed with him. He is such an amazing and well adjusted kid! This will be his very first trip to WDW, so I am trying to make it extra special for him.

Next Up...The Details!!!

So...We are leaving on July 1st, but before we are in WDW we have an ultra relaxing stop in MIAMI :beach:

July 3rd, We are taking a quiet trip to The Florida Keys for some snorkling :fish:

While in Miami and The Keys, we are visiting family, laying out on the beach, and doing water sports! This is the relaxing portion of our trip, since our days at Disney will be really active. We are an active family so wile in Disney we want to be the first ones in and the last ones out! We are leaving Miami on the 7th and we are driving (:scared1: ) to Orlando!

But, let's be honest, WDW is the main focus!!

*Pref Room at POP Century
*Disney Dining Plan
*MYW
...pretty typical.

When choosing our hotel, I really really really wanted to book us at a deluxe, but when we realized we had to board all three of our pets and booking a split flight was more expensive. Then I realized, we will barely be in the room and we didn't plan on spending much time in the hotel or pool. Why spend the extra $$$ when we could use it on other thing!!!

Next up...ADR'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY FOR ADR's!!!!!

We are a foodie family! Not big eaters (except for Dad and Brother on occasion!!), we just enjoy a good meal. We also love to enjoy the ambiance of a restaurant! So here we go!!!

All of our ADR's are for Dinner...

Arrival Day (July 8th) Capt 'N Jack's
Disney HS (July 9th) 50's Prime Time Cafe
EPCOT (July 10th) Coral Reef
MK (July 11th) Cinderella's Royal Table
AK (July 12th) 'Ohana

Departure Day (July 13th)...Special Mom and Daughter/Father and Son Day!
*Girls* Garden View Lounge Afternoon Tea
*Boys* whatever is open in DisneyQuest

We like seafood. We were going to do Fulton's at DTD but we didn't want to spend 2 credits since we were using 2 at Cindy's. Ohana seemed like a really cute spot since we love Hawaii (we were there a few years ago) and Lilo and Stich is our favorite movie as a family...Brother is a lot like our Stitch, except he's human (but still an alien like Stitch...hahahahaha). Dad loves 50's and 60's culture so we requested to be in the 60's building at POP and we are eating at 50's Prime Time Cafe.

As for our departure day...This Mother's Day was too hectic. I decided to pospone our traditional Mother/Daughter day for our Disney trip. Mom isn't a big tea drinker, but she loves the idea of tea rooms and the whole cutsy lady like thing. I also know she will LOVE the Grand Floridian...she doesn't know yet but I scheduled us a spa day. :goodvibes Dad and Brother are computer geeks so I figured they would have a blast at DisneyQuest!

Sounds like a lot of fun! :cool1:

My girls would love to see you as Ariel or Tink some day. princess:

Awwweee that is soooo sweet!! I think those are the only two face characters I can play since I am only 4'1'', but lucky me...they are my FAVORITE characters!

Wow, i'm the first to subscribe!! Looking forward to hearing more...:)

Thanks so much for subbing...I didn't think anyone would :)

Sounds like fun!! Miami should be fun! I want to go there one day! Can't wait to read more!!:rotfl:

I love Miami! I lived there for a year when I was younger!

Before I go to sleep...after a very very very long evening packing up my dorm room...I decided to do some minor pre-triping.A quick tidbit on what I will be elaborating on later!

Day 1, Arrival- DTD, Fantasia Mini Golf
Day 2- Disney's Hollywood Studios
Day 3- EPCOT
Day 4- Magic Kingdom
Day 5- Animal Kingdom
Day 6, Departure- Spa/DisneyQuest

I can't type anymore, I am going to drown in the keyboard if I don't get sleep soon!

So I haven't updated this bad boy in a little bit because I just moved out of my dorm and am in the process of moving back home...I have a bit of a shoe/bag/clothes problem so this can get tricky! But alas...I have realized i need a break so I thought is would share some of what has been going on since I last wrote...

I am obviously the Disney freak of the family! I am soooo excited for this trip, I even get goosebumps when seeing the Disney commercials on TV! But anyway, I began talking (A LOT) about our trip to my mom. I've shown her pictures of the resorts, menu, food porn (my personal guilty pleasure) and guess what...........SHE IS VISIBLY EXCITED. You have to understand that this is not the kind of lady who goes Disney crazy. Yes, she loves a good vaycay and yes, she loves Disney, just not the way I do (or the majority of DISers. My dad is pretty excited, but he has been cranky lately so all he does is complain, hahahahah! But I know that secretly, he is more excited than anyone else  .

I haven't done much "planning" persay, but in the midst of all of this insanity, I have decided to address some food issues that we have. I called Disney Dining to tell them about my dad's diabetes. I also looked at menus to see what I could eat since I am a pescetarian. Both of us should be good :cutie: I am (again) about to pass out from exaustion so I will save the other minor things I have done for tomorrow. Thanks for reading guys!!! It really makes me smile when I recieve your comments.

P.S. Just for the record, look forward to my LIVE trip report and dining reviews during the vaycay!

I think everyone out there really loves Disney, they just don't want to show it!!:) That has to be so crazy tring to move and plan the Disney trip!! Can't wait to read more!!

A great PTR....I'm enjoying reading about you and your family! That's great that you are doing all the planning, and that you want to make extra-special for your brother...I'm sure you will all have a great time!
:)

A spa for the last day will be so nice!!

My momma lovessss spas! It's a little pricey for a college student but she is the best momma ever and totally deserves it!

sounds like a great plan!...looking forward to hearing more!!

Thanks so much...I love writing about our trip :cloud9:

It was a total mess!!! I had my desk covered in Disney stuff, my bed covered in books for studing for finals, and my room partially a wreck and partially packed into boxes...my poor roommate must have wanted to kill me!

Thanks so much! I really really want it to be special. He is such a great kid and I love him so much (even when he is the normal pain in the bum little bro)!

Last night I spent more time working on my momma's excitement level! I am slowly making her as Disney crazed as me!

As for planning, the only thing I have done is get our rental car for the drive from Miami to Orlando. We just got a midsize SUV, nothing too over the top. We just know that anything smaller would be impossible since we are not light packers. I must say that I am very proud of the fact that I did some careful research and got us a coupon that gave us $75 off!!! :cool1: Woo hoo!! That means more SHOPPING!!!

About a week ago, I was suffering from a very serious condition...The "DidIPickTheRightResort" Virus...very very serious and highly contagous. As I sat at my little computer, I experimented with seeing how much the difference was if we had decided on POR (which is what I was voting for!!!!!) it turned out to be very little. I talked to my mom who also wanted POR (we were outvoted by Dad...whose vote ,apparently, is worth much more than mine and my mom's...he said "we are only going to sleep there!!!"). But alas, we were once again shot down. To make up for this little fiasco we better be staying at my dream resort next time (Grand Floridian :cloud9: )

In other news, Memorial Day weekend is this week. I am heading down to Wildwood with friends, but the family will be heading down for one day to enjoy the beach and the rides...

I need feedback people...
How does that ADR list look?? I am always doubting it, but at the same time I love it! And does anyone know what the parks are like the week after 4th of July?

Thanks for reading everyone!!!
