I think flowers or a donation in the OP's name to the "American Thread Killers Society" would be appropriate. :p

Just hang your head in shame and wallow in self pity. But remember you're not alone....We've all done it!

What does "kill a thread" mean exactly? Are they the "naughty" ;) posters who get the thread locked? Or do they just post something & nobody else posts behind?

This is it. And by definition then, EVERY thread eventually has a thread killer. But sometimes, it seems that a post leads to a premature death.

How about if I just leave a blanket apology here?

To all those who have had a thread killed by me and to all those who will in the future, I apologize. :wave2:

*whew* I feel much better now.

Funny...........when my posts die, I don't assume that anyone 'killed' them. I just figure I'm not all that interesting !

You know....at first I took it personally and figured that you guys just didn't like me, so you didn't post after me. Then, I got to thinking....it's not that you don't like me, it's just that whatever I have to say is the best response there could be, so there is no need to post after me;) Then again, maybe not.

Thread killing is a great hobby. It requires no special skills, just bad luck.;)

AAAHHH...Now I know what a thread killer is.

I feel the same way too. I feel that my post was not interesting at all so they don't bother to add anymore to the thread.

browneyes- I tend to kill my own threads more than anyone elses.

Oh...I do this a lot! :p I kill my own thread!

DITTO.

Actually, I have felt that way on several threads lately, even the ones I have had no hand in killing.
Kind of gives a girl a complex :tilt:

Can I nominate a "been on the front page for two weeks and is nothing but arguments" thread that I'd love to kill? ;)

Oooo, I hadn't thought of that. Wouldn't it be cool to be able to intentionally kill a thread? The power would be so heady!

Peg, I've learned one thing yesterday, when you kill a thread you get labeled. Labeled as a person who can't behave so the thread has to be closed by a higher authority. :earseek:

That's exactly how I feel when a thread I post on gets no more responses ;) Our common sense, logical and witty ways of responding leave everyone else speechless.
