When you have to drive your dh/dw/so's vehicle...

My DW is not crazy about my manual transmission, but she only slips the clutch occasionally :D :D :D ........

We usually don't mind driving each others car. I have a Grand Cherokee Limited with a V8 and a louder muffler, which DW loves to VROOM around in and she has a Sebring Limited Convertible. Need I say more.

Steve

Yes, this Geo had a idiot light as well...

Well, right now we only have 1 car (DH's is dead! ), but in our case, I am the one that sits farther back from the steering wheel, so I always have to move the seat back when I drive. I hate getting in and being all smooshed!

Well, I can think of a few things that bug me when I have to drive DH car..............

1. Music is always blasting when you turn on the car
2. Its always messy!
3. Sometimes it smells like french fries because he likes to eat in the car.

His car doesn't have XM radio in it. :(

I can never get the seat in just the right place in DH's truck. Actually, I think the steering wheel is further out in his than in mine, which is bad for me because I have long arms and short legs. In order to reach the pedels, I always feel like I'm hunched over the steering wheel.

Snoopy, I'd try driving the Durango if I were you. That's what I drive. I thought I'd hate having a big car, but it handles like a regular car. It's a million times better than the 2-door Explorer we used to have, even though it's several feet longer.

Under no circumstances is my wife allowed to drive either vehicle!

There are lines I will not cross....

If you don't share, then why do you have two?

One is my *work* car, which sits up as much as it gets driven, to keep the daily city milage off the other car which is the family...

Mini-Van!!!!

I'll be a Soccer Dad one day, I'm sure

So if it is just AlabamaAlan and maybe one child - the Grand Am. If it is Mrs. AlabamaAlan or both children - the van!

My minivan has been used and abused so I've given up trying to keep it nice and I'm just going to drive it until it falls apart.

DH has a brand-new luxury car that is a lot of fun to drive, but it's just too much pressure to keep neat for me. I'll stick with my dirty minivan for now.

I believe I've read where you've posted why she's not allowed to drive. Isn't she blind?

Cindy, you'd be happy to know when I pulled into the driveway at home the front driver tire was smoking. My SO thinks something is wrong with the brakes. I think you jinxed me.;)

Don't drive SO's car. It's nickname is POS. It has no power steering and doesn't like to turn right, brakes aren't that good, etc.

My biggest complaint is after he drives mine. I literally fall into the car. He is 6'7" and has to have the seat all the way back and 1/2 way lying down just to fit in it (I drive an escort). Of course, his complaint is that the car is just too darn small.

Too funny, Shannon... Must be the Geo's time.!

Why, yes, she is...did I forget to mention that?

Like I could get a sighted woman to marry me :jester:

You're a spoilsport Browneyes; I expected at least one person to call me a sexist jerk!

I am, of course, but in this case it would be coincidental....

And for the record, I did allow DW to drive my car when we were dating, but it was under very controlled circumstances :D

Someone had to spoil the fun.;)

I won't ask about controlled circumstances. That might be TMI.:p

Don't let your imagination run wild Browneyes...Controlled circumstances means a closed road and low speeds!

Whatever may or may not have happened in parked cars is TMI, but a gentleman (even white trash) never tells....
