When you have groceries delivered.....tips/do you need to be there??

DO YOU need to be at your villa when they arrive? Do they give them to Bell Services??? Do you tip if you do accept them yourself?? Thanks

No you do not need to be there. They (delivery person) are not allowed to go to your room, Bell Services will stop them as they enter the lobby. When we had our groceries delivered, they kept them in their refrigerator, until we asked for them. I think you are able to have them brought up once they arrive, you may just have to request it. Since we didn't see the delivery person, we were unable to tip.

We just ordered with garden grocer and just before the check out area you can add a tip. Since we knew we would never see the delivery person we prepaid our tip this way.

We used Garden Grocer last July and loved them! PP is correct, there is a place to add the tip on the order form. That way, we knew he was taken care of. They delivered to Bell Services, and they brought up our groceries when our luggage came up. Tip to the bellman of course, too. Well worth it IMHO.

I'm planning to use wego in January. Will not be ordering alcohol. Do I need to be there or can they leave with Bell Services?

OK, this might be a stupid question, but is this garden grocer or wego thing online?? Did you make your orders online or do it another way? I've never heard of this service before but it sounds great! I want to see prices so I can see if it's worth it for us when we go!

They are both online, but only Garden Grocer has the list online. With Wego, you have to tell them what items/sizes you want. Maybe someone else will answer that has used them. I used GG and it was very easy. Added tip when I checked out online and the resort stored the perishable in their fridge until we got our room.
