When you get there...

We stay at the YC so we check-in go to the room and dump our bags then depending on the time and whether or not we've been delayed we unpack and the boys go to The Marketplace to collect our resort mugs. We then walk over to The Boardwalk have some dinner either in The Big River Grill or Kourzinna and then wonder in the shops and maybe pick out some future purchases. Once we've done that it's usually about 9ish so we go back to the hotel to crash. If our flight over has been delayed we just skip the unpacking and collecting resort mugs bit and do that the following morning when we're usually up at the crack of dawn

Last time we had a meal at the hotel after getting sorted in the room, then an early night,it was chucking it down with rain though so would have prob had a walk round the hotel grounds if not.

We've always made it to AKL about 6pm so just stay around the resort.

We head to the room, have a quick wash and change into Florida friendly clothes.

Phone to get our groceries brought to the room (we order Garden Grocer to arrive when we do)

Then once that arrives we head down to the Mara to get some dinner, go and browse the hotel shop, walk around and see the animals.

Then unpack, have a nice bath, watch some Dinsey TV and try to stay awake until 10pm!

We like to get to our room and freshen up and change. We un pack and get everything organised and put away. Once that's done we have a wonder around the resort pick up a few bits at the resort shop before heading to the food court. We then try and stay awake as long as we can but usually it's 10pm and we are done in.

We did break from this when we arrived the same day as MKs birthday a couple of years ago and I insisted we go. DH has never forgiven me we were so tired and it looked like we were drunk. We had gone to cosmic rays for some food after fighting our way through the crowds and we nearly fell asleep in our food. Lesson learned we are there for two weeks plenty of park time so we don't need to go on the first night.

I don't know about you lot but I also have that take it all in moment when we arrive that I just stop look around and enjoy that fact that I'm back in my happy place.

Last time, dumped bags in room then jumped straight on the resort bus to DTD for an Earl of Sandwich. I feel this may become a tradition!

Looks like you we have Doppelgänger first nights, you are only missing the poolside movie to get you even more in the Disney mood. Other than that Tinks73 and I do exactly what you do. Spooky

We stayed at OKW. We unpacked, freshened up, had a coffee and then headed for the boat to take us to DTD where we had dinner at Wolfgang Puck's. After that we wandered back through DTD and caught the boat back.

As long as there are no delays, we get to the resort at 4-6pm. We check-in, drop bags off in the room, then go straight to Epcot. We unpack when we get back, before bed. Then we always get an early breakfast on the first day at Kona Cafe and go to MK straight from the Poly afterwards.

On our first trip two years ago it was after 10pm before we got to our apartment complex, our flight landed at 6pm, had a nightmare at the airport and then were lost for 2 hrs!! By the time we finally found complex we were shattered so went straight to bed.
This time out flight lands at 1430 so hopefully will be a more leisurely drive and we won't get lost lol! Planning on stocking up at the supermarket and then hopefully going to DTD for food and a walk around and just try and keep the kids (and us!!) awake for as long as poss

We find the villa explore and dish out bedrooms. The kids and Dh get swimming things on and head to the pool and i make a quick cuppa and head to publix for a lovely big shop and bring in some cooked chicken and salad as well as a few large bags of cheeto's that the kids love!

best feeling ever walking back into the villa and hearing them all splashing and laughing!

Then after a swim and food its early to bed, usually around 8 and up so so early our first full day we use this to head out to MK
