Do you have a private place you enjoy in or around the parks? I really enjoy the water garden area in Japan at EPCOT. My wife and I enjoy walking that area of the park when it opens and then relaxing up there with a cup of tea or coffee... So how about you. Do you have a place you like to sit and just relax in the parks?

Yes, I do....in Epcot, just outside of Mouse Gears, I like to sit on the wall and watch the Fountain of Nations...with coffee, or an icepop, or whatever :)

In Disneyland my favorite spot is the Snow White grotto.

In WDW there are two spots - both in Epcot:
1) The gardens in England - love to sit back there in the shade.
2) Watching the fountain outside of Mouseworks - especially when it is going through one of its routines.

A third favorite during holiday time - watching the Lights of Winter!

I really like to sit at a bench at the begininng of Main Street and people watch. The castle is so beautiful especially at night.

Dawa bar in AK! You can people watch or check out the entertainment - maybe acrobats or drummers.

I like to sit on the benchs that are near the front of the castle near the Walt and Mickey statue during the early evening with a cappacino or coffee and watch people...especially children. Listening to parents explain who Walt was and watching the fairy lites come on.....can I leave today!

Sitting in the lobby of the Grand Floridian - preferably when the band is playing. :D

Sitting around the Lake on benches in Port Orleans Riverside. Its very beautiful :)

For the past couple of trips I've found myself relaxing on the walkway behind Space Mountain that connects to Mickey's ToonTown. It's nice to find a shady bench and watch the train and those cars (can't think of attraction's name) go by.

I, too, love sitting by the Fountains at Epcot. I like to go very early when the park opens, get a coffee and "danish" (or some other assorted wonderful treat), and sit outside at one of the bakery's tables and people watch and just take in the fountain.

The other spot is on a bench anywhere along the castle at MK at the close, waiting for the "goodnight kiss". It's interesting to relax with a coffee or tea, watch the crowds leave, have chats with the CM's picking up things, etc. then to mosey on down Main Street.

(Sigh)....i wanna be there now!

I love to just relax in this area also. We've never seen more than 10 people in this area when we are there. It is just so peaceful and shady too!

I just have one question...do any of you who responded to this thread go to WDW with small children & get to sit & people watch?? Just curious.

I forgot about the fountain at EPCOT... I missed it when it was being rehabed.

Yep...well, it depends on the moment, but yes...there are times :)
Usually all it takes is sitting them down with an ice cream or box of popcorn in their hands to keep them occupied for a bit :)

Nope, no kids here. But, we like Tom Sawyer Island on the first boat over. Very few people go then. It's very quiet and relaxing. Also, benches to the right of France in Epcot. It's quiet and out of the way. I think it's a smoking area, but we've never had anyone smoking there when we've visited. I've even napped there on occasion. We also like the Cretacous (sp) Trail by Dinosaur. It's very quiet, very few people walk there. There's a bench tucked out of the way (sometime's it's there, sometimes it's not).

Whenever I'm at WDW I like to sit on the benchs that are near the front of the castle near the Walt and Mickey statue .. I like to watch people use this for a photo op. I always offer to take a picture for them with their camera so they can all be in the picture. I've spent a few hours at a shot doing this.... It feels good to be a part of the Magic for other people...

While at the waterparks BB and TL we follow the path to the farthest lounge chairs which are way around back. It's so quiet in there compared to the lounge chairs in the main areas.
