When WWoHP reaches capacity?

We're staying onsite and plan to hit the early openings for WWoHP. My question is this: If we want to leave WWoHP and come back later, does being hotel guests guarantee that we will get back in, or would we have to get reservation tickets to get back in?

When at capacity, everyone--including onsite guests--must get a timed entry ticket in order to get back into WWoHP. This is why you go early and get as much done as you want before you leave.

Treat it just like a Disney park being at full capacity. No one gets in until the crowds thin out a bit. You probably wouldn't like the feel of the place anyway. We got in when it wasn't at capacity yet but very crowded and you could barely walk through the streets in some parts.

I'll also be at Universal in a couple of weeks and plan to take advantage of the early hours since we are staying onsite. Are all of the attractions/shops open during the early entry times? Even at the early hours is it still swamped?

Everything in WWoHP is open. It will be crowded, but not as bad as when the park opens for the regular folk.

Thanks!! I know this is peak time and will be crowded any given day of the week but any recommendations on what parks to hit on which days - Sunday 8/7 through Tuesday 8/9?

This time of year, I don't think it matters much.

We had early entry on 7/12 from staying at a partner hotel, which meant that we could get in at 7am (and did). We walked out at 9:30am, and would have needed a timed re-entry ticket. At that point, the re-entries were for around noon. Coming back later, crowds had died down a lot. Seems like everyone is heading to WWoHP first and then doing other parts of the park.
