I'm trying to decide when to take our first trip home next year. We'd like to go during a low point season. Our ideal weather would be where it's still pretty warm at night(maybe a sweat jacket needed but not long pants) and it's not raining every day.

When would you go? Thank you!

I voted Sept.

In early Oct, you're fighting the Columbus day folks.

In late Oct, you're in there with all the scary hairy Halloweenie folks.

In Nov... well, you said you wanted it still warm. Early Nov might be good , too -- but evenings will be getting cooler as the month progresses. Just depends upon what you consider "warm".

We are going the begining of November. If you want to have any possible chance of bumping into me, that is when I will be there.

I voted last two weeks of Oct. You can take part in MNNSHP AND the F & W festival.

Good luck with your decision & Welcome Home.

-DC :)

I said last two weeks of October for the same reasons as dcfromva gave!

I voted last two weeks in Oct because as others have posted: MNSSHP, Food & Wine Festival, and for us - the golf tournament! The weather was great in Oct last couple of times we went.

I voted for the last 2 weeks of October because I still haven't been able to make MNSSHP or the FWF, but if you are looking for fewer people it might be a little less crowded during just the FWF than having both MNSSHP and FWF going on at the same time. Either way, you will have a good time.

We have been to WDW in every month except April, Sept. and Oct. Now that we own at SSR I'll have to fix that, won't I?

If all you are concerned about is weather and not all the happenings then I would pick September. Once we had a lot of rain in September and another we didn't. I've been in Disney in September, October and November. September is still warm (at night you may need to change into pants or wear a jacket). October I found we needed to dress in layers for cool mornings and evenings - it gets warm during the day. And November we needed jackets or sweatshirts. It depends on what you consider comfortable weather.

We like going in August. Wife and kids off from school and points are reasonable. It's hot and there are a few thunder storms but it's a good time to go for us..

Hi,

I couldn't decided so I didn't vote. But I'd say early September or early October. Have fun!!

Ditto to several other posts--the last 2 weeks of Oct for both MNSSHP and F&W, both are fantastic events to attend and the weather is very nice.

Have been in Sept, Oct, and Nov.

We prefer October. Voted early October, but am not sure why!!!The weather is great and the crowds are not bad at all. Having said this, any of the time slots you mention would be great!
Have a great trip!

I said last two weeks in october, for food and wine festival (which we have been to twice and which is fabulous) and for the not so scary halloween party (which i haven't been to but would like to go). The weather is also perfect that time of year the two times we have gone, exactly like you describe! Also, Rich won't be there, so that's just a bonus! :jester: (juuuuuuuust kidding).

Ditto again.
That's when we will be there for our next trip.

Last tywo weeks in October. Though I have never been during this time due to school schedules it is the time of year I would love to go because of MNSSHP and F&W. Annmarie

I have never been to WDW during this perod... We do every thanksgiving through, and the weather is wonderful.

Thank you so much for all the replies and votes!

I had no idea that the MNSSHP and the F&W festival were both going at the same time! That sells on the last 2 weeks of October for sure!

Thanks again!!:teeth:

Make sure you check when f&w starts. I think it's the last week of october, not the last TWO weeks. If you are going for two weeks and want the f&w festival the entire time I would book last week of october and first week of november. I'm jealous!

According to WDWIG, F&W runs from Oct. 18 through Nov. 16.

The dates for MNSSHP are Oct. 3, 5, 10, 14, 16, 19, 24, 26, 30, and 31 from 7:00 PM to Midnight.

Have a great time!
