I really want to plan a trip this year. I am thinking of over the summer or Oct/Nov. I have only gone with the kids in December and LOVE that time of year for the weather and low crowds but we are already palnning to take them out of school for 1 week in January 2010 to ski. They will be in kindergarten and 1st grade this fall.
Summer really works best with school schedules but I don't know if we will be able to handle the crowds and the heat. Is it much cooler/less crowded if we go over Columbus day weekend in Oct? Are there any special rates right now that would sway my decision? If we go in the summer are we going to have 2hr waits for everything?
Any advice/experieince appreciated!

I know a lot of ppl. do, and I'm glad it works for them, but I'd much rather get my kids ahead a week or catch up a week with school so we can go during the school year, and not as hot. We've been going the week after Labor Day and love it, although it is still pretty warm, the crowds are great. You know your kids best, if you think they can handle it, I wouldn't hesitate to go when you think your family would have a more magical time.
