When would you go? early or late June.....

We are just back from our early June 06 trip and are allready planning our June 07 trip. This time with my cousin and her family for a total of nine people.


We are trying to decide when to go in June 07. It is either the first full week in June or the last week. I realize that the east coast schools dont usually get out till mid June,but does that really affect crowds to the point where you would want to go early June?

The UG seem to say crowd size is a level "8" pretty much anytime in June.
TGM says 4 out of a 5. So what are your thoughts?

There is also the pesty H word? It seems the last two years that we went early June we had encountered some rainy icky weather due to tropical storms in the area.Whats a disney nut to do?

I just got back from an 8 day trip of the world. as someone from NY, and someone that works at an airport i can tell you right away that if you can manage it, go in the beginning of june. several reasons:

1.) The room rates will be cheaper. Peak rates start around the last week of june.

2.) the closer to July you get the warmer and more humid.

3.) plane tickets (if you need them) are cheaper. (at least out of Albany International) The jack up their prices at the end of the month too, because they know people are getting out of schools.

4.) New York State has regents exams (state tests) that every high schooler is required to take in order to graduate. The first week and a half is review, the second week and half the third are the exams. Everyone here is out of school by the 22nd or 23rd. and let me tell you...there are very very very few adults that would take their child out of school during regents week...they would fail the class and have to retake it.

We chose the 3rd week because it was regents week and also because we got cheap airfare and room rates. we were going to wait till the following week, but the room rates went up.

We've gone every week in June and the earlier ones are sometimes not as crowded But Senior Week also falls into that and beleive it or not that impacts the parks as well.

We leave in 4 days and will do an earlier week next year to maximise our PAP's.

I would say early June. The closer you get to the 4th of July weekend the more crowded it gets. It is pretty bad for the week of the 4th.

Early June it is then. I really appreciate all your input and thoughts on when to go. I didnt even think about how they probably jack up air fare as soon as the schools are out. We live in the midwest and we will get out the week before Memorial Day.

Go in early June, the crowds are lighter and the rooms generally cheaper.
