When will WL release more rooms?

I am trying to book the WL in early december of 2008. I checked the day the rates came out and all that was available was CY bunkbed or Std Club level. When will they release more rooms? I want woods view.

Good Luck to... keep checking at least once a day... I've been told that it's sold out. We have rooms their for December 1st thru the 8th and was hoping to apply a discount code to our rooms... CM told us it was booked solid... but people do cancel...

This is exactly what happened to me last summer when I wanted to book. I waited and kept checking the availabilitly and finally the rooms opened up the 1st week of November(pretty much every type of room was available) We have a standard room booked for the 1st week of this december. Good luck!

That's great to know! I have a coutyard view booked but am looking for something a little cheaper for Dec 2008.

I know I had the same problem last year and booked at AKL because there was nothing at WL last December. I think it might have been in late spring (maybe sooner) I'm not sure now, but I know all view became available, but the standard view went pretty fast. Woods view was next to go. I waited too long and ended up with courtyard anyway!!

Ok, I'll just book CY view and hope WV opens up. If not, I'll just have to switch to a mod or see how much we have left to pay.

If it were me, I would go ahead and book something there if it is available then hope something comes available later on, if not at least you have a room there, I always stayed at the WL for the last 12 years, it is harder and harder to get a room there during Dec. anymore.

What the heck is up with that place? I just tried to book Jan 2-6 '08 with AAA, nothing available till you get to the club level at $300 a night! I called back and managed to book at rack rate for the last standard room available at $225 a night! Sheesh, the rates were just released last week for Pete's sake. I actually managed that room after my DU TA was told there were none available, so I guess that confirms what everyone says about continuing to check back. Unfortunately, the kids Christmas break is falling later, keeping me from booking before Christmas, which was when I really wanted to go so we could also see the Christmas party. Oh well, at least I have a room, right? Now to start thinking about dining....

A lot of people booked way before rates came out. If you really want one of the popular resorts you've got to book as soon as you know.

Believe me, I understand that, it's just that when did booking a trip become such a major stressor? This is the first time that I have had this much trouble booking, of course it may be the fact that it was right after the release of '08 rates, which by the way are exhorbitant IMO. The days of a cheap lst minute trip are long past I'm afraid.

Unfortunately WL is really popular and also a small resort. Deadly combination

Yep, it's such a great location, add in the theming and people are hooked. I know DH had no desire to stay there since it wasn't on the monorail (at that time GF and CR were favorites), even when we were offered a rate of $129 a night in June '03, then I dragged him over there and he's been hooked ever since. Always yells at me when I book us somewhere else.

How do they book before the rates come out?

I called to get a reservation for January 2009. I was told I have to wait until it's 500 days away. So I'm going to try back again later. I'm thinking the only way to do it is reserve a room only trip, then go back and convert it to a package deal after the 2009 rates come out. Is that right?

I called 2 days ago to get rooms for Dec 2008 for both WL and AKL. There were only limited rooms available at WL. The very nice person I talked to checked with his supervisor and said that the rooms had not been released yet for booking and it could be a couple months yet. He said most people don't plan quite this far in advance. I am going to watch closely so I can get my reservations as soon as possible.
