when will we have 2007 packages????

Another one that been said that mid August is the date for the 07 Packages Release....This is insane!

I am impatiently awaiting the package rates also. I am frustrated because at first the CM's were telling me July, now it's August, I just hope they don't push it back anymore.

hey timandlesley! We are traveling the same week! Mine will be July8 (or 9) - 15 (or 16). I'm staying on AKL...BTW, I LOVED YOUR TRIP REPORT...That's how you celebrate a B-day!!! ...

It'll be interesting to find out what precisely they've changed about the computer systems.

It is really a bummer about the 07 packages. My family (all 7 of us) are going the end of feb 07...we are staying at KW resort...but it is nice to know about the package deals to get an idea what is included. I think we want to do the "premium" or "platinum" package.....but what is changing?
QUESTION!!!!
What about airlines? Is that an inderpendant ordeal, or can disney do that? What is better? I usually fly SWA, but can anyone reccomend anything better? When is a good time to book the airline tix?

We just booked JetBlue for February 2007. This is the time, since generally airfares go up in price from this point (six months prior) on, unless there is some special sale.

I was in my AAA office on July 28 to at least book a basic package to be ready for when Disney and AAA packages come out. (We're going 11/28-12/8 but want to make sure we get ressies for both halves of a split stay.) My agent was also told mid-August but who knows what they consider "mid-August".

I have never flown Jetblue before..if you don't mind, what deal did you get?
Abou the computer systems, what kind of changes do you think they may have made? Do you think the packages will change that much-do they usually?

BOS to MCO ran us $257 each roundtrip. There were flights for as little as $239 each roundtrip, but at inconvenient times.

I really couldn't imagine what would be the context of computer system changes so significant as to delay introduction of the packages for six weeks.

There is another thread about this and the general consensus is August 6th. There are several conflicting reports, but most point to August 6. I just called too, to ease my curiosity, and was told August 6th.

Maybe since they are giving an actual date, it might be true. I think I can hold out for 1 more week... :confused3

Hi Silverangel. Glad you enjoyed the trip report. That's great we'll be there the same dates, never been in July before (well not since our honeymoon in 98.) We SERIOUSLY considered AKL but decided we just couldn't leave our WL home.

Thanks for the hot tip, y'all!!! Quick question, if I were to book my trip through Disney-you know, the package deals and such, should I book my airline tix through them as well? I know that I can get my package insured, but can I get my airplane tix insured as well? :confused3

I've never read a compelling argument for purchasing airline tickets through Disney.

We bought our airline tickets early july. We went ahead and got them at 670 per person we are flying from Hawaii though. I asked Disney Travel before I did this if they could give me a basic idea if I am going to get a better deal going through them rather than booking alone, and she said from what she remembers they pretty much run the same that I can look on Continental and such get the estimated ticket price and theirs would be basically the same, so I went ahead and booked ours. Plus I wanted to arrive at a set time the crack of dawn lol. :bride:

Just want to let everyone know I called Disney this afternoon; packages are rolling out this Sunday. Does anybody know what time reservations opens?

Do you think they will put anything on the Disney website before than with info so we know what type of rates etc we can expect? I hate to call and have no clue on what will be offered!

I read on another thread it's Aug 6th, lol shortly after my adr's have to be made and you better believe this bride is staying up ALL NIGHT which is seriously late late my time when they open to be on those phone lines. What I am wondering is if they will actually open boooking of packages on a day most travel agents are closed. What do they do for those using an agent rather than those doing it theirselves as I am through Disney Travel? I have agonized over my adr's over and over for weeks and I think I am set except the feb calender is out and now I have to figure out which park is the magic early hours or if those are the evening ones to corralate with my breakfasts ressies. ugh lol I plan way way to mich, but I ma set and determined to make it magic. How do you find out which is magic hours for the morning and which are they doing evening. the calendar only says emh, but does not state early or late. Help please!!!! I have to resort my timing on ressies and I have to do it fast. thank you again :bride:

Whenever new rates or packages are released there are always plenty of "glitches" in the first day or so. Don't be discouraged or upset if the computers go down for a little while or there is confusing info on the boards for a few hours. Eventually it all works out and it seems like everyone ends up happy!

Just uncase someone missed it, I confirmend with Disney today packages for 2007 start Sunday!

That's cool that the deals are coming out on sunday. It will be nice to get the ball movin. :cool1:
Finally!!!
