when will we be "in the system"?

We passed rofr recently. I was wondering how far after the closing date will we finally be in the system and able to make reservations? I am very excited about planning our first DVC vacation!!!

Historically, it has been 7-10 days for most people here. It varies depending upon DVC Admin's current workload. Best advice I can offer is to check with your resale broker. They should have up to the minute info on how long it is taking to get into DVC's system.

Congrats Kristy! If i might ask, i'm dying to know what the price and conditions of your deal were...I haven't seen any recent stats....all the lists on these boards are from '05 and even earlier. I'm trying to get a realistic idea of what resales are going for...and VWL would most likely be our first choice.
Oh! and who did you guys buy through? (Sorry to be so nosy!!)

It took about 2 weeks for us to be in the system.

our contract was for 150 points, april UY, $86 per point, some points banked from previous year. Seller pays maintenance fees...

Thanks for all the info! We actually were VERY lucky. Closed on 9/25 and mad my 1st reservation on 9/29 for Easter Week!!!!!!!!!!

Just a word of caution - it can take longer. It probably won't, but things do happen. We passed ROFR on July 28. We had problems with closing and with getting in the system. We were finally in the system on Sept. 25, almost two months after passing ROFR.
