When will WDW have a new nighttime parade again?!

I'm sure this has to be posted elsewhere, but I didn't find it. I was devastated when MSEP left WDW to head to DLR. It is a nostalgic thing for me & I know not everyone shares my deep love of that parade, but I seriously can't understand why Disney would ship that parade to DLR when they have Paint the Night! And my bigger question is why would they do it without a new parade ready (or almost ready) to go? Who has any info to share on this topic?

The short answer why is because Disney can. Magic Kingdom is overcrowded as it is, and Disney is trying like hell to get guests to go to any other park in the evening. The LAST thing it needs to do is install a shiny new parade that would attract more folks to MK at night.

Yes and no. It spreads out Crowds well. Sure it might attract more people for a while but I don't think MSEP was bringing people in for specifically that.

Actually it brought us. When it left before our trip we switched a night that was set aside purely for msep (and mk at night) to dhs. We always had an extra mk night just for msep.

I hope there will be a new night parade as I loved it as part of the build up to wishes. I fly out to WDW in 10 days and yes I will miss it but change is not a bad thing. Has anyone found positives in there not being a night parade who have been recently?

I suspect that Disney will eventually replace the MSEP, but they are currently bringing in major dollar with every day that it's not being used. The most likely option is Paint the Night, but Jim Hill has said that it isn't just an easy transition given the climate in Florida. I was originally thinking that Disney would have something new by the summer, but now I wonder given that we're already into January.

I am personally ok with zero parades for normal MK operating days and would rather see these saved for hard ticket events like MNSSHP and MVMCP

when? i still think the answer is never. its done. gone forever. like the Epcot/DHS/AK parades and DLP evening parade.

I guess parades just cost too much in CM's and Disney has decided they're a waste of money.

I loved the night parade and I'll miss not seeing it when we go in a few days. My favorite spot to watch it was right where Adventureland and frontierland came together, that way when it was ending I could make a dash over to splash mountain and ride it without a wait!

After seeing Paint the Night I am fine with no parade unless we can get something as good as that or better

As someone who goes every summer our family will miss this. In the middle of August daytime parades hold no interest for us, the heat and sun is too much to stand and watch the parade especially with young children, but we loved seeing the MSEP, my daughter absolutely loved it. She will be disappointed as she loves watching that and the paint the night parade on YouTube. Hopefully they come up with something

Pete, sitting on Elliot's head yelled down to my (then) DD6 asking what her name was. She answered and he yelled back, "It's great to see you, DD6."

It was amazing and magical and I will never forget the joy on her face at being singled out of a sea of thousands and having that special interaction.

I cannot agree with this. Disney evening parades come and go, and their schedules seem sporadic to me. I have been when Spectro was offered nightly, sometimes twice in an evening, and on other trips had to plan carefully to make sure we could see it as it was there only a few times a week.

I miss the DAK parade a lot, and wish that it was not removed.

I think that we will see another evening parade in the MK.

Whenever WDW gets Paint the Night. They need to do some work backstage to get the floats.

Our family will really miss this show!! Loved the atmosphere it brought to the MK in the evening and always enjoyed hanging out around Caseys corner waiting for the evening action to begin

Now the question is: are you excited for that next trip? Because everything will have a higher price and no parade
