When will the Paradise Pier pool area open?

We'll be staying there the first week in May, and I noticed that's it's been closed for a while now. Have they said when it's going to re-open? My hubby will die without a hot tub. lol

I think it's already open.

But even if it isn't, they will program your cards to visit the other pools and hot tubs. They are very nice when they have your resort's pool closed.

I was checking prices online for rates just a bit ago. To see what kind of deal I actually got on hotels.com. And when I looked up Paradise Pier it said the pool area is temporarily closed. Maybe it's open and they just haven't removed that sign yet? I do hope it's open! But good to know we could always go and use the other pools if not.

Okay, so we just called them. It is still closed, and when we said we'd be there in a month, they said it could "Potentially" be open by then. OUCH. Sounds like they fell behind in their work or something.

I talked to them last week. The CM told me the pool should re-open by the end of April.

I'm planning to stay at the PPH in a couple weeks. I was originally expecting the pool to be finished a month or so before our visit and have called periodically to check on it. I've now accepted the fact that we will be swimming over at the DLH. Awesome pool for sure, just a little less convenient.

I think they are resurfacing the pool deck. Not sure why that takes so long though.

I sure hope it's up by then. My husband grumbled at me for the idea of having to walk over to another hotel to swim. It's really not that big of a deal to me, but it does seem like it's taking an awfully long time to just resurface the pool deck.

When I booked through Costco back in Jan, there was a disclaimer stating the pool is closed but will re-open April 1st. So, I booked our trip for the 4th, ugh! I'm bummed out now. I suppose it's too late to switch to DLH seeing as if I've already received my hotel coupons for PPH. Grr!

Having read these posts I emailed Disney to ask about the pool closure. I received a reply this morning to confirm that the pool is open! I'll be there 6-8 April and they said not to worry it would be available (hope they're right!)

Oh dear, I'm seriously confused then. Lots of different answers were all getting. The CM we spoke with was at the PP, and was just hopeful that it would be up by the end of April. I hope the person you spoke with is right too lemonfizz!

Wow, that is a lot of different answers. Right now, if you book online, the site says:

"Temporary Pool Closure at Paradise Pier

Please excuse the inconvenience during our renovation. All 3rd-floor deck amenities at Disney's Paradise Pier, including the pool deck and restrooms, are currently closed."

Maybe it just opened and they are slow to update their site. How confusing.

I just called PPH. The pool is open as of yesterday!! Yea! I'm happy to know as We are planning to be there in 2 weeks!!
