I enjoy getting the Birnbaum guide every year. Amazon.com says it will be published in October, but last year it was available in September.

I preorded it from Amazon and my order says "Delivery estimate: October 11 - October 12"
Hope this helps!!

I have always been able to find the new book at the local Disney Store in September. Then I can use my Disney Club discount!!

CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN THE DISNEY CLUB??

THANKS,
PAULA

I have been buying Birnbaum's guide since the 1996 issue and have always been able to purchase it at the end of September. Another good guide if you have children is "Walt Disney World with Kids" by Kim Wright Wiley. I have purchased a lot of different guides and this one was really informative for us (we have 2 kids who will be 4 and 2½ next year when we go in September).

I don't have the book in front of me, but I'm almost certain its the Birnbaum book that is coming out August 8th! Barnes and Noble is putting one aside for me. Its the WDW guide that has the mickey mouse on the cover every year. Last years mickey mouse had oranges as its ears!:p :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Are you sure that is not the unofficial guide?? My Birnbaums has mickey & gang on the cover.

 Sorry! Just checked it. I was thinking about the Bob Sehlinger book. But its a good one! As mentioned above, its coming out 8/8!:)

Thanks for the input!! I just redeemed MYPPOINTS for a Barnes and Noble gift gift cert. Guess what I will use it for????? Now that's something to look forward to!!!!!

I think the BEST Disney book is the Unofficial Guide to Disney World.(The one with the oranges) The biggest reason that I like it is that it will tell you the whole truth about any Disney subject. There are Reviews of everything you can imagine :Food, Resorts, Rides...etc. I have bought Birnbaums book but Disney is looking over his shoulder..Do you really think he would say anything critical? For honest answers try the Unofficial guide.
Have a nice trip!
Jean:p

I have pre-ordered Unofficial Guide and its due out 5 Sept here, Amazon do not give a date yet for the Birnbaums

I ordered the official guide/birnbaums and it estimated to be delivered Oct 11 - 12, or released by Oct. 6 or so.

I can't help but to recommend PASSPORTER. The info is as good as Birnbaum but there is so much more. Great maps, great tips, and Jennifer and Dave are REAL people and come across as such. Isn't poor Birnbaum dead?

I always get Birnbaum but Passporter has places to write in and nifty pockets to store receipts, maps, confirmations, tickets, etc. I used mine a lot this last trip. There is also a great website with updates and boards to talk to other FANatics. I got mine at Borders bookstore and you can also order online right from Jen and Dave (Passporter.com?)

I am going to get a new Birnbaum soon AND the new Passporter as soon as it is out!

Does anyone know if most Barnes and Noble will have the Unofficial WDW Guide for 2003 in their stores right on August 8th??
