I thought there was a spot on the SWA website that told you when the next fares would be opening. I'll be darned if I can find it. We've booked an Aug trip w/ the great Disney discounts but I won't feel it's REAL until I have secured airfare. :goodvibes Anyone know when that travel will be bookable?

We are currently accepting air reservations through August 12, 2011. On February 8, we will open our schedule for sale through September 30, 2011. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently.

Click on Travel Tools at the bottom of the SWA website.

I'm also anxiously waiting to see what SW offers. The fares for August so far have been horrendous! :headache:

Thank you! I ended up booking Delta...even w/ baggage fees I should come out ahead of the game. Hartford to MCO for $189 RT!!!! JetBlue was charging $400 RT for the same dates.

So if Southwest is opening their schedule through 9/30 on 2/8, does anyone happen to have any idea when the schedule will open past 9/30? Sometime in April maybe? :confused3

Either late March or early April. Keep checking the boards and SWA website for exact dates.

I am also waiting for Southwest to release their August schedules next month, but Delta has some great rates. We will need six r/t tix so the lowest fares are a priority for us. Right now, we can get r/t tix for about $200 pp including taxes/fees. The only thing I don't like about the Delta schedules is that all the options for the days we want have layovers (that are 1-3 hours). It seems like we will have a better chance of getting non-stop flights with SW. I have never traveled using SW before so I am not familiar with their policies or service; but it seems like they have a reputation for low rates and also their two free checked bags policy. I wonder if I should go ahead and book the $200 r/t now with Delta or wait for Southwest to release their schedules/fares for late August?
