anyone remember about when southwest opened up the rest of january/february last year? we want to sneak down around martin luther king day or maybe snag some good fares for winter recess (president's week)... when should i start looking?
I have vacation home rented 02/04-02/18 and am debating on driving vs. flying. I would love to know what SW offers for my dates. When is Presidents Day?
pres day is the 20th this year, so that week most northeast schools are closed... so, jinglesmountjoy, your dates are perfect to avoid crowds and get decent airfare
from what I understand, it's taking some time to get everything straightened out with flights in/out of New Orleans. The flight schedule was extended not long ago, and the customer service agent I spoke to thought it might be several weeks before the schedule was extended.
I'm waiting for Martin Luther King weekend in January, LOL
sounds right. i think i bought my tickets for jan22 '05 on september 24th or so of '04
we will be in disney from the 23rd of sept till oct 1...i need tickets for this january so we'll need to be checking online daily!!!!! please come out the 22nd
From the website with the schedule extension history it says its usually a Thursday morning at 10 am central time. It says last year on Sept 23rd they opened up until March 3rd. I am also waiting for airfare for February vacation. Still havent decided if we are definately going yet.
Thanks shelleyz, I've never flown SW before. I'm trying to decide if we will go with Airtran from ROC or SW from BUF(1hr drive in Feb.). They are both direct flights. Right now the fare w/Airtran is very high. I'm still not exactly sure what days we are going. I'm thinking Wed. 15th - Fri. 24th. This will be slightly off the peak times.
Most likely not til December sometime. On the paper I printed up on the schedules it say Dec 11 of 2003 they opened up til May 8th 2004. It doesn't have December 2004 but I know thats when I bought my tickets for April 18-25, 2005. Heres the page its from. Its #17 on post 4. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=366800
