when will summer discounts be announced?

If there are any summer discounts when will they be announced? any rujmors about what kind of discount might be coming out this time? i couldnt remember if they were in oct or if they were closer to jan.

You might want to check the Discount Codes & Rates sub-forum on the Resorts board. That's where most of the discount information is posted (since it pertains to resort discounts)

Honestly- nobody knows when they will come out. Historically, they won't be released for several more months.

Only Mickey really knows for sure.

The trend from the past few years has been that room only discounts were released between late February and May for stay dates in June to mid-August.

Package deals like the 4/3 and Kids Stay Free were released earlier though.

The better Disney is doing (the more people coming), the later the discounts will be released and the lesser the deal will be. They use discounts to fill empty rooms. If there aren't many empty rooms, then they don't have as much need to lure people in.

We didn't book the bounce back. I don't really care for the free dining. I hope we get a pin soon or they offer a percentage deal -- this works out much better for us.

Last year they released room discounts in Aug for early 2011. Then in January of this year they released room discounts all the way through Sept. Considering they have released room only discounts for the rest of this year for deluxe only just last week as well as room only discounts for Jan and Feb of next year deluxe only. I would guess that it might be late Feb or even March before we get anything for that time frame. Just my two cents. I'm hoping for room only deluxe room discount myself for Sept!!!!!
