I thought Disney would publish the firework / Fantasmic schedule for September by now, but I just checked, and the information isn't there yet.

We will be there September 10th -17th, but had committed to visit relatives in the vicinity on Saturday and Sunday.

The one thing I'm concerned about is the prospect of missing Fantasmic! I haven't seen the DL version of this in almost five years, and it's a can't-miss on my list.

Does anyone know if Disney plans on showing Fantasmic on the weekdays in off season in light of the Happiest Homecoming celebration? :confused3

If not, I will have to work on fashioning a discreet early exit from the relatives... :rolleyes1

I am anxiously awaiting the September schedule too!

I guess I should be happy that the park hours are up -- but will be happier when I see the show times!

I am hoping that they'll have answers for me when I call to try to reserve balacony seats for Fantasmic!

We're going to California September 3-10th!! Spending the later part of our trip at the Land!! I would hate to be disappointed that Fantasmic and/or Fireworks won't be happening during my FIRST EVER TRIP TO THE LAND!!

:earsboy:

Fantasmic is never shown on weekdays during the off-season. You'll have to include at least a Friday in your plans to see it--probably the same with the Fireworks. I'm actually suprised the schedule isn't up--did you try clicking on the date in the calendar?, because that's how you find each days schedule. They don't put shows and parades on the calendar itself.

Fantasmic is usually not during the week off season. I doubt they will do it this year during the week. If they show it at all it will be Fri, Sat and mayb Sun. I'm pretty sure they will have fireworks at least Fri, and Sat, so I kind of doubt they will have fantasmic (they usually don't have both during the off season, as these are both very expensive shows to run). No word yet if they'll have fireworks during the week. Unfortunately that decision isn't entirely up to DL they do have to contend with the anaheim residents who are currently in a fight trying to get DL to stop fireworks completely.

I have been waiting anxiously as well! I have clicked on the actual date and no dice that route either. We will be there the 8-12th and last year we did that exact same time and they had fireworks Fri -Sun but I think Fantasmic was only Fri. and Sat. Its really aggravating, if they don't have the new fireworks show I will be crushed! Add to all this that I am waiting for October hours for WDW, and I am driving myself nuts!

I wouldn't say never to the fantasmic on weekdays... in 2000 for the 45th. They had them every day in May along with the fireworks. I called a few weeks ago and they assured me that it would be any day, and still we wait.
I can only hope not to miss these two they are one of my favorite things to do at Disney.

May isn't completly considered off season. There are more options and sometimes longer hours in may than you will find in September, October, January, Feb and March-April not during high easter times. Nov and December have Xmas crowds so you have a better chance of having more entertainment (nightly fireworks, fantasmic, etc.) May is when usually when the paracticing for summer starts, so you will see more night time shows then as well.

However like WDW if you go off season you run the risk of shows not being shown, and rides down for rehab, its just one of those trade offs, Less crowds equals less available.

I would think that since the park closes at 8:00, they would probably not have fireworks or Fantasmic since it really is not that dark before then in September.

That is what I was thinking too. With the hours that they have had up for a bit now, the only days that they make it seem possible is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I will be trying for the balcony seating as well, and I am hoping now that they even have Fantasmic on Sunday. Now I am getting a little worried about the fireworks as well.

I keep checking on the calendar too, and I am surprised and disappointed that they dont have the September schedule yet either. It is less than a month away.....
